Excellent choice!
We've finally found a guide book to British birds that is helpful, informative and above all clear. Each subject is shown in photographic format along with a concise and easily understood description making it very easy to identify similar species. I recommend this book to anyone with an interest in identifying the birds that they see every day.

A Great Field Guide
We have three in the series of these books, British Insects, British Wildlife(a good one for the car) and this one we bought as a gift. They are beautifully presented with colour photos, very informative, easy to use and have a plastic protective cover. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys getting out and about to enjoy nature.

Complete introduction to the life and loves of birds
Fantastic introduction for a complete birdie virgin. Very clear photos,description of every bird,with all variants on seasonal plumage enabling me to identify immediatley more than six birds in my garden. br /Recommended for anyone looking for easy access to the wonderful world of birds.I now know those flocks of good-looking "black" birds in Richmond Park are jackdaws. No longer do I just look, I identify!

Collins Complete Guide to British Birds
Photographs extremely well chosen thus making bird identification easier. Sensible grouping of birds and informative comments on habitat and behaviour. Very pleased with the purchase.

My second bird book
Easy to carry about, easy to identify birds you've never seen before with many examples of gender and even chicks in some cases. Great photos and really intereting and informative sections on the birds.
