br /No this is what Warriors is all about! After the romp in the mountains, we're back to Clan life, and 'Eclipse' is in two halves.
br /The first half is daily Clan life stuff. It is a delight to watch unfold, and really captures the charming essence of the first series, whilst sticking to it's own story. It's not fast moving, and it doesn't need to be: things are steadily buidling, tensions are rising, and you can just feel a storm coming.

br /The second half of the book is when it really kicks off. And I mean REALLY kicks off. 'Eclipse' sees the biggest battle of the 'Warriors' series yet. It really is exciting, brilliant and terrifying to read, as you hold your breath and pray that all of your favourite characters survive. The end results are devastating for all, and brings about the most scary, sinister threat outside of Tigerstar himself.

br /Is 'Eclipse' the best Warriors book yet? Hmmm. Maybe. Erin Hunter has written some blinders in the past, but this is right up there. There story is all beginning to come together, and everything is turning dark and falling apart for our heroes.

br /Will you read on? I dare you not to.
Installment 4 of series three of Warrior Cats. Eclipse is my favourite book of the third series of Erin Hunter's fabulous Warrior Cats books. For those who miss the feel of the first series, set in the old forest camps, this will probably please, as it embodies some of the atmosphere and writing of that series. As always the excellent writing builds tension throughout the book and there are ample surprises. My only disappointment was the ending. All the books in series three seem to have rather hurriedly finished endings! That said, can't wait for the next book.
