It's great
I've read all of the kevin and Sadie serise multiple times and I a always getting my friends to read them too.Even if you know what happens at the end of the book they are still woth reading. The books may be fairly out of date but they are my ultimate no.1! I would definatly recommend them and Joan Lingard. I have barly been able to put them down to write a review!

GREAT BOOK!
OK, yes you may have to understand The Troubles tp really appreciate the novel, but even so... I really enjoyed it, and would deffinately recoommend it to anyone who wants to understand The troubles a bit better, and enjoy a gripping book in the process.

Memories
I read this book when I was in primary school. I loved the story then even at that age, and it has always stuck in my memory. I have decided to purchase the book again now that I am in my thirties and who knows when my children are a bit older this is a book I would encourage them to read also.

Not enough bachground information
(Natascha)

I think it's well written and easy to read. Maybe a bit too many unknown words for the 10th garde. I think the problem of this book is that the reader has to inform himself about the background and the whole conflict in Northern Ireland in order to understand the book in detail. On the other hand it's alovestoy like "Romeo&Juliet". It's a good book to read to read at school. But you can read them at home as well. Although the story is very nice, it's a bit like a TV soap opera, in which I propably know what happens next. So in my oppinion Joan Lingard put a bit too much lovestory into this book but not enough bachground information.
