Poignant, funny, emotional and easy to relate to
I've never written a review on Amazon before, but having just finished reading this book during my lunch hour today, I felt compelled to add my thoughts. I've had this book on my bookshelf for over a year and yesterday morning picked it out on a whim for my commute to work. After the first few lines I was hooked! br / br /You do not need to be a dog lover or indeed an animal lover, to thoroughly enjoy and relate to this. The author tells the entire story in punchy English, which just makes you want to keep on reading. I must admit the story really pulled on my heart strings and I could relate to a few of the episodes with my own pets, especially when he begins to develop arthritis (incredibly sad). br / br /The story leaves you smiling, sobbing and utterly in love with the fabulous, happy-go-lucky pooch that touched the hearts of John and his family. Thank you John for one of the most heart wrenching, but yet incredibly down to earth reads of all time.

Most enjoyable book ever
The book of `Marley and Me' is the funniest book I have ever read. The book is about family who are helped through life by a neurotic dog. This book teaches us that we should all live life to the full, no matter what. Even if you are not a dog lover you will still love this book. You will be amazed how bad a dog can actually behaved, no matter how much training it is put through. If you own a dog then this book is a must read. If your dog behaves badly your opinion will change as soon as you see how badly `Marley' behaves and you will think that your dog is perfect. `Marley and Me' is a book that you will not be able to put down. This is an interesting, well written and easy to read book. Anyone can read this book young or old.

I laughed, i cried, and laughed and cried again, such a brilliant book for any dog lovers, have yet to see the film and i really hope it doesnt ruin the story for me

If you want to laugh and cry
Brilliantly written, a delightful tale of a dogs life that will make you laugh and cry in equal measure. Anyone who has owned an animal (not just a dog) will be able to relate to every page. br / br /
