Great book for younger readers & teenagers
Good for young teenagers and primary kids. These contain all the stories that were published before the tv series. Some things are different but it still sounds interesting when you read it. I could still read it now even though I'm not a kid anymore. Would recommend to read even if you're an older teenager now (well only if you were fond of the tv series when you were a bit younger).

This book is well known it is called 'TRACY BEAKER' most children like it so I think you would like it to. It is about a girl named'TRACY BEAKER' and she lives in a foster home and would love to live in hollywood. That is her dream. Tut tut!! You know Traycy Beaker always lying about her mum living in Hollywood and that her mum is going to wisk her away in her private helicopter. Tut tut!! I really do hope you enjoy this book. The story plot of the book
This book is like a fictional diary and a girl, aged 10, in a foster care home, is writing in it. Follow Tracy as she writes about her life in the Dumping Ground with friends and enemies...

About the author of the book
Jacqueline Wilson is one of my favourite authors and she wrote this book! She has her own personal collection of over 15,000 books and I have about a thirtieth of that!

About the awards and sequel for the book
In 2002 this book was voted the winner of the Blue Peter People's Choice Award. The book is the first in a series of books about Tracy Beaker. The second is the `Dare Game' and there is another book called `Staring Tracy Beaker'.

My awards for the book
I would rate this brilliant book 10/ 10; I really, really enjoyed this book, to prove that I really, really enjoyed this book I couldn't put it down until the very end! I would recommend it to anyone who really likes Jacqueline Wilson's books - just like me, especially girls.

This book has been on my step-daughter's book shelf for some time. I read it in about an hour and I must say it is very sweet. I can see 7-14 year olds really enjoying it. It did end a bit short but it wasn't in a terribly disappointing way. My step-daughter tries to act just like Tracy now (yikes!) and she loves the tele program. Tracy is a great character.
