Amazon.co.uk Review
Joni Mitchell would go on from this 1971 recording to make more popular, more ambitious and more challenging albums, but she's never made a better one. Working with minimal accompaniment (Stephen Stills and James Taylor are two of the four sidemen), the Canadian songbird summoned an involving song cycle of romance found and lost. Though IBlue/I is an uncommonly intimate representation, it's also astonishingly open and gracious. Songs such as "All I Want", "Carey", "California" and "A Case of You" work equally well as poetry and pop music. I--Steve Stolder/I

Re-capture the 1970s
Was instantly transported back to the 1970s with this album. Perfect quality. IPods are no substitute for slipping on a CD and chilling out. Perfect album for a lazy, summer afternoon or early evening - accompanied by a tall, chilled drink. Brings back memories of screeching the high notes with my best friend.

Blue - without the crackles
I had previously listened to an old cassette tape of this album, made from an old LP - that was full of crackles. Now I can hear Joni Mitchell's glorious voice, when she was at her finest. For such a small cost - it was well worth getting the CD. The songs are haunting and the lyrics are like poetry - great for destressing in traffic jams!

What is all the fuss about?
I am aware that I am alone on this one, but after hearing rave reviews about this album, I thought that I would give it a try..And was SO disappointed. I have listened to it again and again, thinking it was one of those albums that required multiple listens before catching on..But if anything, it got worse and worse. Her voice makes me need to take an asprin after listening to it. Although I respect Joni as a songwriter, I'm afraid I just can't get round her vocal interpretations -they are just awful! Forced, unnatural, pretentious. WHY is this album a classic?? I don't get it. Even with other classics that I don't really like, I can usually see what their appeal is, but this one is just lost on me. Horrible, horrible. I won't be buying more Joni, I'm afraid.

Self-indulgent
I listened to this with high expectations, but was disappointed. The poetry is fantastic, but the music sprawls and drags. It's like reading a novel with wonderful characters but no plot - after a while you really can't be bothered to turn the page.
