Ex-Chicago Frontman Stops Writing, Keeps Singing...
While Peter Cetera's ex-band Chicago become lost in the wilderness of their own self-perpetuating record label, Cetera himself has managed to consistently bring out strong collections of mainly self-penned tracks. "One Clear Voice" was his first album with a majority of songs not written by him, yet as always his voice manages to bring an energy to even the most average of tracks, a few of which can be found here. What brings it above mediocrity are the tracks he's written himself - The opening song "End of Camelot" is exceptional in this respect, as is the new version of "Happy Man" closing the CD - For these two tracks alone, the album's worth a listen.
