A great 80s feel good album
You'll either love or hate this group and I personally I love them. br / br /Up to until a few months a go, I'd never heard of this group as they are not particularly well known in the UK. If you enjoy listening to the likes of The London Boys, Modern Talking or even the Stock, Aitken and Waterman movement of the 80s, then I'd definitely suggest giving this band a go. There is a 'Europop' feel about their music, which rarely goes down well in the UK, but if you are amongst the 'minority' like myself and fancy a breath of fresh air from the RnB music that currently riddles our charts, then give this group a listen. br / br /It has to be said that they do lack a signature hit song such as London's Boys 'London Nights' and Modern Talkings 'Brother Louie' or 'You're my Heart, You're my Soul', which is probably the reason these 2 bands are more well known. However this album in particular is without exception full of catchy, feel good songs from start to finish. I would even go as far to say that overall Bad Boys Blue have more strength in depth with their music and have in my opinion produced better songs overall than the 2 previously mentioned groups. br / br /Believe it or not this band are still going strong today, although their newer stuff has more Eurodance/club feel about it. The band have changed their line up several times, but Scouse lad John McInerney and American Andrew Thomas remained in the original line up, until a bust up led to the pair splitting in 2005 and starting their own respective line ups of Bad Boys Blue. John's pairing of himself and Carlos Ferreira have released a new album and can be found on Myspace, although I am unsure whether Andrew's Trio are still together. The 3rd original band member, Trevor Taylor, sadly passed away earlier this year. br / br /I am hard pushed to pick a favourite Bad Boys Blue song as they have many great songs, but for me I would say Track 2 'I Wanna Hear Your Heartbeat' gets my personal vote, Track 4 'Come Back And Stay' comes a close 2nd. br / br /
