the best cc album to dategallery of suicide is the finest album cannibal corpse have ever made. the comparisons that can be made between it and the other albums are twofold; the difference between it and all of the albums featuring chris barnes on vocals, and the superiority of it over the two other george fisher albums to date. firstly, this is george fishers crowning achievment as a death metal vocalist, and moves him beyond the likes of glen benton, john tardy and yes, chris barnes as arguably the worlds most proficient and variable death metal singer. as an example of his ability, listen to the intro from 'blood drenched execution', and ask whether you could imagine chris barnes makin a song sound that brutal. cannibal corpse are supposed to be one of the most extreme bands around, so when you here chris' lyrics, for me you expect a singer like george, not chris. vile and bloodthirst, whilst having a multitude of instant corpse classics, do not have the same barrage effect that this masterpiece has. one of the best death metal albums ever, certainly the most aurally brusing, and guaranteed to please all fans of the genre....

It's good but not the best.Although since Corpsegrinder came into the band the music did get faster and he proved to be a superior vocalist I don't think the songs on this album had the calibre of those on Vile. The 'execution' of this album is fine but I think their is something lacking, they seem to have shaken of the shackles of their previous sludgey roots and gone for an all out drum blaze and and guitar wind up, which is fine for a few songs but the prominent bass line like that of 'The Bleeding' crossed with pounding drums is sorely missed. It is probably my unacceptance of change which leaves me to say that it is a good album but I don't think it is their best album to date.

Relentless BeatingThis is another classic CC album. Base and brutal but more technical than previous offerings. George 'corpsegrinder' Fischer shows off his vocal talents and that guy has some set of lungs! The songs are still the same gore fixated mini splatter stories but his voice has so much more power behind it than the old Barnes era low growls. The playing is as usual very strong and Alex Webster's bass especially is incredible. 'Gallery Of Suicide' is a punishing album of true old School Death Metal that no fan of the band, or the genre should ever be without. The audio equivalent of being hit by a train.
