Not All Orginal Versions
Some of the tracks on this CD are remixes so if you're looking for the orginal single versions look elsewhere!

Remixed versions of original classics - truly terrible
I had taken a while to track down some Boney M and having looked in the shops eventually decided to turn to amazon. I unwrapped the CD, put on the headphones so as not to share my ghastly secret with my nearest and dearest and leaned back ready to wallow in some wonderful nostalgia. Do not buy this CD! It has a truly terrible overlayed rythmn track with tinny, cheap-sounding drum machines. I'm very disappointed. Perhaps i should have waited to write this review until I'd sold mine second hand but I couldnt inflict this on people stuck in a lift and its going straight in the bin. The only thing I can think is that there must be some sort of a licensing / copyright issue but having checked my memory bank against samples from itunes I've confirmed what I originally thought - all the tracks are poor remixes. And to think that Ktel where cheaper to boot.

You Know You Know Them!
Boney M are one of those bands you don't think you know very well......... until you actually hear their songs. Suddenly you realise that you actually know almost everything they're singing! I think it was when they were all Mom and Dad ever played around the house while I was growing up, especially at Christmas time. While all of the songs are excellent, with great rhythm and tempo, and lyrics ranging from humorous to serious, "Brown Girl in the Ring" undoubtedly ranks way up there as the best of the best. Sort of a mix between island and pop, this is great music to listen to on a Saturday afternoon out on the lawn or by the pool.
