Amazon.co.uk ReviewAn indispensable and definitive collection
2Pac--Greatest Hits showcases the passionate genius of the late rapper. The album's non-chronological sequence highlights the contradictory impulses that made Tupac's music so commanding. The 21 well-loved "hits" some slightly re-edited for legal reasons, are accompanied by four previously unheard songs. Of the new material, the raw-sounding "God Bless the Dead" has been the subject of the most speculation, owing to its subject matter: a eulogising of the late Notorious B.I.G.--a mysterious feat, since Tupac was killed six months before Biggie. And, making its first proper appearance on a Tupac album, the B-side "Hit 'Em Up" stands as the most intense outburst of pure venomous rage ever captured on tape. Whether he's waxing political, philosophical or just plain paranoid, Tupac's empathetic, charismatic style remains unmatched. --

DescriptionThough posthumous albums are often only a record company's vision of how to make more money, 2PAC's GREATEST HITS is just what it promises; a collection of all his hottest tracks, chart toppers, and street jams. Tracks from his time spent on both Interscope Records and Death Row Records are included, as are three previously unreleased tracks, "UnconditionalLove", "God Bless the Dead" and "Troublesome '96".
Among the numerous hits from 2PAC on this generous two-CD set are "Brenda's Got a Baby"; "Keep Your Head Up"; "2 of AmerikazMost Wanted", featuring Snoop Dogg; and "How Do You Want It", featuring K-Ci & JoJo. Among the other standouts are "I Get Around", featuring Digital Underground; "California Love", featuring Dr. Dre; and "Dear Mama". 2PAC's GREATEST HITS leaves you with the sad feeling that one of the world's greatest performers left the planet way too early.

Fake Gangsta ShizzleizzleI can't understand why people listen to this! Is it cool? Does it make you feel like a tough guy? truth is my gangsta wannabes, your not gangstaz or thugs, and neither was Tupac. He preached violence and murder so that people became afraid, which is basically being a coward.
Thank God he can't release any more trash like this. Wannabe thug shizzle. And that goes for 50 cent, snoop and all the other posers out there. They aint gangsta. Take them to live with the italian or russian mafia. Thats gangsta.
have a nice life losers.

Who would call this music? This guy and all other black rappers suck. I guess Eminem is pretty and actually sings about real stuff with emotions but this guy can't even spell. I suppose he thinks his awful spelling is cool. This isn't serious music just talentless noise who wannabe gangsta's listen to not because they like it but because there following the trend. Listen to better stuff rap fans.

No other word could replace "Greatest" in this title!Well what can be said, 2pac Shakur, possibly the Greatest rapper ever and definatly one of the most real, so what was expected to happen when his best work was collected and placed under one album title, well the result was the release of one of the most ground breaking sound expiriences of all time, anyone, fan or not, can appreciate the quality of the work on this album, it truely is that good! Well deserving of the title "Greatest" a hudred doller price tag could be slapped on this albums cover and it would still sell. Im not going to comment or list the best tracks as it would be all 24, my only advice is if you dont own this, buy it, borrow it, steal it (best to the first one) just make sure you hear this album, you wont regret it! Long live 2pac in everyone of his family and fans, and may he remain a legend for ever.
R.I.P 2Pac Shakur, (Obviously gods are not meant to walk the Earth).
