Essential compilation
At this price this has to be an essential buy for any fan of 1970s reggae. Jacob Miller was one of the best vocalists of the age and if it was not for his early death would surely have gone on to be considered one of the all-time greats. There isn't a bad track on this compilation. The tracks are mostly from the poppier side of his repertoire (e.g. 'Suzy Wong' and the classic 'All Night Till Daylight'), and are reminiscent of the sort of thing the mighty Peter Tosh was doing around the same time. But he is equally at home on more rootsy songs like '40,000 Careless Ethiopians'. Buy it - you'd be mad not to.
