An early electronic dance masterpieceI'm so glad they decided to re-release this album as for years I haven't been able to get my mitts on the original from 96/97. Still haunting to this day, these tracks sound as fresh now as they did 10 years ago. An essential part of any 'serious' dance fan's collection!

one of a kindI was fortunate enough to buy my copy of this classic five years ago, just before it disappeared from the shops. All of the above reviewers speak the truth - it is one of the finest pieces of electronic dance music ever recorded and, to the extent that it is a full-length album that can be listened to in its entirety and then played again, and again, almost unique in the genre. Nick Bracegirdle somehow hit on a magic formula which ensured that FFTMC would not only keep its magic, but actively get better and better with age, and that is exceptionally rare.
This album is way ahead of its time but still has the tantalising sound of an era when dance music - and the world in general - occupied a slightly more innocent, joyous plane. It is a towering masterpiece.

The reason I own a fire-proof safeThe main reason I bought a fireproof safe was so that I could put my copy of the then-deleted FFTMC in it. This record is quite simply epic. I've been listening to it regularly for 7 years and it's still one of the greatest soundtracks ever.
Buy it, you will never regret it.

Got to love that good ol' original Chicane style!!FFTMC is one of the best albums you will ever own.
I already had a copy of a copy of a copy and even though I know the tracks back to front, the prospect of having my own REAL copy was so exciting I couldn't wait for it to be rereleased so I could buy it.
This is Chicane as we know it and as I have come to love and adore it and it is still my favourite music. (see my review about Somersault).
Offshore 97 and Sunstroke (DC mix) are awe inspiring and make my body want to explode. Red skies, Lost you somwhere and The Drive home are more favourites. Actually the whole album is faultless.
I wish Chicane fans could also begin a petition that would go something like this:
NICK BRACEGIRDLE IF YOU EVER READ THIS: PLEASE RELEASE "EASY TO ASSEMBLE"....
Your music is so timeless and so exceptional that I guarantee that even though most true Chicane fans would have gotten hold of a copy of ETA already through love, money, bribery or corruption, they would JUMP at the chance to have a proper copy of it and would happily pay for it all over again. Your new stuff is great but Beyond the Sun, FFTMC and ETA just can't be beaten and WE NEED MORE!!!!!
