Amazon.co.uk Review
For their hard-core under-18 fans, of course, the Backstreet Boys are all that and a bag of chips and free soda to boot. Millennium, the follow-up to the quintet's umpteen-million-selling debut, offers more reasons why so many of the rest of us have found a place for them in our hearts. The Boys' ultra-packaged look and up-to-date production underscore the quality of their best tracks; only a churl could deny that "I Want It That Way" is one fine radio-aimed declaration of love or that "Larger Than Life" makes the most of its Daft Punk sample and double-edged acknowledgement of Backstreet followers' loyalty. And who can resist an album closer like "The Perfect Fan", Brian Littrell's ode to his mom? --Rickey Wright

Description
The Backstreet Boys self-titled 1997 debut album endeared the group to millions of teens and pre-teens with its radio-friendly blend of pop harmonies and danceable beats. MILLENNIUM finds the Boys in the unenviable position of following upthe mind-blowing success of the first album. Less ambitiousartists might wither under such pressure, but the Backstreet Boys beat the dreaded sophomore slump in style. In the tradition of the debut, the album is a combination of romantic ballads guaranteed to make your little sister sob, and syncopated, eminently danceable, upbeat tunes. Throughout, it's the rich combination of the members' voices that creates the distinctive sound the group's legion of fans has grown to love. Most notably though, there is an added maturity in both the songs and the performances. It seems, regardless of their fans' fervent wishes, that even Backstreet Boys can't helpbut grow up.

Millennium
Whenever the Backstreet Boys release an album i don't have to contemplate whether or not i should buy it. However busy i am on that day i will make time to buy it - it has to be on the day of release. But when i heard I Want It That Way on the radio for the first time, i immediately rushed out to buy the single. When the album was released i skipped my first two classes and waited outside the record shop to open so i can claim first copy!

Millennium is a masterpiece which reflects five brilliant vocals form five exceptionally talented guys. Each song is unique and the album as a whole provides a wide range of ballads, up tempos, RnB, country-ish etc. From the second the disc opens with AJ going 'Huh' on Larger Than Life to Brian finsihing with 'I Love You Mom' on Perfect Fan, you will not want to touch the stop button. Whilst there will be a favourite tune amongst many different fans, i guarantee you will find it hard to think of the worst song.

There is a song for every mood you are in! This album proves many critics that the Backstreet Boys are here to stay and that they are no 'boy band'. How many bands can actually say that they pull off ballads and uptempos? How many bands or artists can hold a two hour 100% live show EVERYTIME? How many bands can go through so many setbacks and failures and still remain strong to come out on top? The answer is very little.

The Backstreet Boys are an incredible group and deserve all the success in the world.

Is this the Best Album Ever?!!!
WOW!!! This album is incredible!!! The style of music ranges from the funkier side of the Backstreet Boys to the soft and heart warming side that so many fans adore. 'Larger than life' gives the album a hefty kick start in the right direction. 'Show me the Meaning of Being Lonely' brings a gentle and meaningful feature to the album. For any Nick fans out there there is a whole track (no.5) dedicated to his glorious vocal talents. 'I Need You Tonight' could convert even the fans of Eminem to a Backstreet Fan.All two minutes and fifty six seconds of this song are worth listening to! The touching lyrics to 'No one else comes close' and 'Back to your heart' really do posses magical charms. 'Spanish Eyes' brings latin fever to the album of the century! 'The One' shows off just how talented these five guys really are! 'Don't wanna Lose You Now' pays tribute to the softest sides of the Backstereet Boys. Finally 'The Perfect Fan'. There are no words to desciribe the loving nature of this wonderfully written ballad. Brian has done wonders with a sond-writing talent and a few choir members!
All in all this album is a MUST for Backstreet Boys fans. I can't find fault in it!

Brilliant BSB
Congratulations guys this is a fantastic album it is the best so far that the BSB have released. All the albums are great but each is different in its own right. 'I Want It That Way' is easily the best single of 1999, cracking. So if you have a few quid to spare I would definitely reccommend this album, you cant fault it. So hurry up and buy this its the millenium album of the millennium! :)
