Editorial reviews
Amazon.co.uk ReviewQueen of the power ballad, throughout the 1990s the Canadian diva Celine Dion bestrode the international pop charts like a colossus. But if her songs sailed into view with all the pomp and bombast of the Titanic, they would never be wrecked on the icebergs of critical scorn, kept buoyant by an audience's passion for tales of fidelity and true love.
A Decade Of Song collects Celine's most memorable moments; check, for example, "Power Of Love", Celine belting out "Cause ahm your lady/ And you are mah maaaaaaayn" with such zeal that even the most inept wedding DJ should be able to fill any post-reception dancefloor. "Think Twice" and "My Heart Will Go On" pull ruthlessly efficient feats of epic grandeur, although it's evident that "I'm Your Angel"--a duet with R Kelly--is far from her finest moment. That niggle aside,
A Decade Of Song proves Celine is one of our generation's most enduringly successful popular singers.

Best of? Where's the Rest of?Well, it's apparently a lot harder to put together a compilation than it seems. Whitney's was severely wronged and so was Sinéad O'Connor's, and now it's Céline's turn? Please. It's a joke. Céline is a superstar, and like her or not, that is the truth. She scored some of the most memorable songs of the 90's, and I simply do not understand why they even bothered with this record. Was this just another attempt to cash-in on her status? Was this an attempt to present some new cuts to her fans (none of which are anywhere near of the quality of her classics). I am not a Céline fan, but I wanted all of her biggest on one disc, so I feel severely ripped off by this compilation. My advice: Skip this one, and wait 'till the right compilation comes along, because this ain't it.
Highlights: "The Power of Love", "It's All Coming Back to Me Now", "Beauty and the Beast" and "That's the Way It Is".

Her greatest hits of the 1990s'All The Way...A Decade of Song' is an album any ballad fan could buy and appreciate. It lists all of Celine's classic top 10 hits such as 'My Heart Will Go On' and 'The Power of Love' plus her more recent releases and some non-released gems such as 'Then You Look at Me' from the Robin Williams movie 'Bicentennial Man' and 'All The Way', with Frank Sinatra (oh, the magic of studio technology!). The album is Celine at her commercial best, buy and be in awe of how many stars she has worked with and how wide her vocal range is yet look to her very early albums such as 'Celine Dion' for her true, unique, spark.
Of all her albums, 'All The Way' is one which I constantly play if I can't decide between them all! It has a bit of everything! Buy it!!!

Brilliant. Just brilliant. To put in 1,000 words just how fantastic this album is will prove to be a truly challenging task, but here goes. Having watched many a programme about Celine it is clear to see that her passion of music, love and life are all cherished close to her heart. With such ardour she is able to belt out songs of unbelieveable strength in their words. Celine manages to bring many listeners close to tears with her voice. "I want you to need me" is sung with such zeal and confidence in Celine's truly infamous voice, that all i could do was sit there motionless, completely silent. "All the way...a decade of song" boasts not only Celine's ability to reach such powerful notes herself but also her ability to blend in exceptionally well with anyone she duets with. "Beauty and the beast", "Immortality", "I'm your angel" and "all the way" all go to show that a woman with such talent could never just work alone. All in all "All the way...a decade of song" will have you in complete awe of Celine leaving you clinging onto the last notes of "live" and pressing play to go straight back round to the "Power of love". Celine has and deserves much respect and admiration from her fans and this album just goes to show exactly why. It really is brilliant. Just brilliant.

The Voice of the Generation at her BestThe album is incredible from the strong sound of "The Power of Love" to the wonderful "Live for the One I Love". Celine's duet with Peabo Bryson, "Beauty and the Beast" is good to listen to and the powerful ballad "It's all coming back to me Now" makes me sing along in my bad attempt at Celine's strong yet beautiful voice. The best song is the love theme from Titanic "My Heart Will Go On" which makes me really realise how amazing Celine Dion's voice is. The only way you won't like it is if you have a bad taste in music, don't like brilliant singing or dislike beautiful ballads. An amazing album.
