Amazon.co.uk ReviewiStill I Rise/i, the third posthumous release of "new" material by Tupac Shakur, is not surprisingly a mixed bag. Recorded in 1996 with the Outlawz, the disc at its best does showcase the power of 'Pac. More politically acute (and complexly anti-Clinton) than most gangsta rap even attempts to be, "Letter to the President" and "The Good Die Young" find the star turning in some of his most focused lyrics and performances. Elsewhere, he often cedes the mic to other voices; the collaborations that result--"Secretz of War", "Tattoo Tears", the title cut--are the equivalent of campfire songs for the latter-day black cowboy. Dominated by phat beats and familiar imagery, they entertain but hardly illuminate. i--Rickey Wright /i

Deff one of his bestI am a huge fan of Tupac, and i have all of his albums and i can say in confidence that this is deffinatly one of his best album. His lyrics, beats, everything about this album rules above all other rappers such as 50 cent etc. Even if ure not a great fan of tupac, this is still a good album to get.

tupacs feelings and emotionstupacs music is all about diffrent situations that he had been in through out his life and what he was feeling and thinking at that moment in time. Its all about his emotions and most of the time they were running wild,Tupac thought that the whole world was against him and all out to kill him so this is why he lived by his girlfriend and if your not sure what that is its his gun and he wasnt scared to blast someone eaither.Tupac was a very paranoid man and he was always watching, when i say watching i mean with his third eye for example staring at the world through my rearview.

Pac's Best Album Except MakaveliThis album is undoubtedly 2Pac's most underated without doubt and only Makaveli stands above it. This album shows what Pac was really about, really deep lyrics that you can feel to the end and really understand what he's rappin' about in every track. The Outlawz hold it down on every track and their styles compliment each other and Pac perfectly, those who say thy aren't good enough to be on Pac's albums should question why then was it that Pac choose them in the first place? If he thought they were good enough then you can't really complain. The strongest tracks are the new hell 4 a hustler version with a muh better beat and hook, the title track (which does miss Fatal's verse from the original) and Tattoo Tears (again though not quite up with the original). All in all this is a definate buy for any Pac fan or any fan of deep, lyrical and political music (i.e. Dead Prez).

I miss Thug LifeDoesn't anyone else think that Thug Life were better than the Outlawz? I thought the only songs here worthy of 2pac standard were 1,3,4,7,8,9 and 11. That's not bad so it gets 3 stars. In my opinion the best year for 2pac was '94 (Thug Life was just as good as All Eyez), he made some tight songs with Stretch, like Pain, God Bless the Dead, Under Pressure and Hell Razor. Stretch and 2pac were the tru 'Deadly Combanation' (Stretch's verse was cut from the Big L version). It's really sad that they fell out over 2pac's first shooting, and that they're both dead (i'm pretty sure tupac is) without making their peace. The Outlawz can be damn good (e.g- When we Ride, Letter 2 Pres, Hit 'em up pts.1 and 2) but they lack depth. I can hardly distinguish Fatal (one of the better outlawz, but whose verses have for some reason been ommitted from this album), Kadafi and Kastro from each other, they all sound so similar. I like Napolean and EDI but Noble's a bit annoying. My favourite, Mussolini/Big Syke (yup, he was one from Thug Life), isn't even a member anymore, and is only on the 1st track of this album!! I won't be getting the Outlawz solo album, coz i don't think they can hold their own without Makaveli; the songs they really shined on were the ones where Pac was still alive, and at their head.

This is the bomb if i had the correct version! This is another sure fire hitting banging whatever you want to call it album from the greatest rapper that ever lived (or is still living) today. I bought my version from a shop yeah and I got the one without the parental advisory sticker on it, because i always thought that pac's albums always had it on there. I slapped it into my cd player n e way and what a disgrace it is. The swear words, gun references etc are all cut out. it ruins the songs man. Now i gotta go and fork out another 12 quid for the parental advisory to get the full emotions from the albums. What i got from the album though was that tupac and the outlaws kick it large. The songs on there are emotional and heart felt but also bring up issues in today's world. The best songs on there are 'Still I Rise', 'The Good Die Young', 'Teardrops and Closed Caskets' (best one on there in my opinon) and the second best song on there has to be 'Baby Don't Cry'.If only Pac was alive now we could have more of this quality of music around today playing on are stereos...
