What is there I can tell you?
By now you probably know if you like the x-files or not, if you haven't seen it yet then start at season one (logically). Season three was when Carter 'took it up a notch', there is more emphasis on the governments dodgy dealings and their connection to an alien conspiracy, this storyline carries throughout all nine seasons (and a film) and has a lot of roots in season 3.

There is a fair number of stand alone episodes to boot, but I found myself wishing more and more for the ongoing storyline about Mulder and his attempts to find the truth, but that's my preference. I'd probably give most of the seasons 5 stars, they do decline a bit around season seven, but essentially I find the X-files more enjoyable, thrilling and spooky than any film I've ever seen, and this is one of the best seasons. Pure class.

A must-have!
Back in the day, I was an X Phile. The recent ending of the series was a bittersweet moment for me; I realised that the series had well peaked and that it was time for the truth, but part of me remembered the time when the X Files was a classic, creating storylines and characters and plots that were absolute genius. This season three boxset is a stroke of brilliance; Chris Carter at his best, mastering and balancing the conspiracy episodes with personal issues of our heroes, Mulder and Scully. Fans of the show will be, like me, reminscing about the days when the X Files was as undeniably brilliant as they were in the season three episodes. If you are not aquainted with the show, these episodes are ideal for you, because although the conspiracy is well established, you will learn insight into the two main characters and their situations, as well as being able to enjoy some of the finest episodes the X Files ever produced, and if you're a fan of the show, you'll know just how fantastic these episodes were, and how they preceded the (equally?) brilliant season four. Without the depth seen in the season three episodes, season four episodes such as 'Paper Hearts' and 'Elegy' would have been risky and possibly not as well done as they were with the support of episodes like 'Wetwired' and the absolutely perfect 'Jose Chung's "From Outer Space" '.

Brilliant - The X files at its very best
In my opinion this is one of the best X files seasons and some of the episodes are absolute classics. Ranging from the very funny "Clyde Bruckmans Final Repose" to the great mytharic conspiracy episodes of "Piper Maru/Appocryha." Both Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny give fine performances with the Mulder/Scully chemistry on top form. Each tape also contains a special interview with creator Chris Carter giving a background to some episodes. A must for any X Phile!

Brilliant, the X files at its best.
One of the Best seasons, very shipper friendly, lots of episodes focusing on Mulder and Scullys relationship. There are some episodes which are not quite as good as they could have been but even those episodes are some of the best episodes produced overall. Highly reccomended to any X files fans or anyone looking to fill a few hours. It contains some of the best comic episodes in the shows history. The X files is a very clever show which really challenges the audience to think about what they are watching its difficultto be a passive viewer when the storylines are so thought provoking. Billiant acting and directing with stunning visual effects. What more could you ask for?
