Very good
I bought a new DVD with multiple viewpoints of katas etc but these old videos are much better in my opinion, purely for the precise, powerful example that Sensei Kawasoe sets.

Excellent way to learn
I found this video to be an excellent way of learning. Although I am currently beyond the level of this video (it only goes as far as Heian Shodan), Kawasoe's techniques are so good that it's always worth revisiting the basics to make sure you understand them properly. It is also helpful to see techniques performed dynamically instead of studying a book, which can only give photographs. I would thoroughly recommend this video, and if you enjoy it then you can always order the rest in the series like me!
