ICats Don't Dance/I is typical fare: a dancing cat who wants to be a Hollywood star circa 1939. Of course, animals only play animal roles in the movies but our hero Danny (a cat) won't accept that as an answer. Plenty of big laughs for adults here but there are also some wonderful characters including the bratty baby starlet Darla Dimple (Shirley Temple meets Baby Herman) and her Schwarzenegger-type bodyguard Max. There's also a jittery hippo, a cute penguin and a keen elephant who helps Danny fulfil his dream and land the girl--err, cat. Randy Newman's songs are just as inspired as the film: a pleasant, kid-friendly picture with lots to satisfy the older crowd as well. I--Doug Thomas/I

Brilliant Family Movie.
I loved and adored this movie when I was a child, it brought me dreams of becoming a actress one day and the whole story is so uplifting it leaves you with a smile on your face. After finally buying it, I watched it yesterday and it bought so many memoires. It's about Danny who wants a dream career in Hollywood though there is many other animals who wants his dream too. He falls for Sawyer, a tough cat that isn't interested in him but soon does fall for him. He also befriends a elephant,a fish that smokes, a goat that sounds from down-south and a cute penguin but with queen of evil Darla ruling Mamoth Pictures, will Danny and his gang of friends overule this nasty piece of work and her Arnie bodyguard? It's very colourful, wonderful songs, great characters and short enough for kids to enjoy. Can't understand why they wouldn't like it. It will always be brilliant to me, so glad I finally bought it. Recommended for a rainy day or just to cheer yourself up!

Superb Family Fun
This is one of the best childrens videos I have seen for a long time. The songs are excellent and toe tapping and the quality of the voices (Scott Bakula and Natalie Cole) are outstanding. I would definately recommend this video to anyone who wants a great night of sheer entertainment.
