Great again
Metallica never cease to amaze me when i see their live stuff, i just wish i could be at all the gigs! This DVD is especially good, the island stage and great lighting makes for a great watch, also there are multi angles you can view from. But the best part is the bass solo etc that leads into Nothing Else Matters the whole composition is amazing.
Hope this helps

Magic
I got this in VHS and just had to buy the DVD. This is a live concert over two days recorded in '96 (or thereabouts) but don't let the alarm bells ring, they actually play the old stuff. And what a concert it is! Huge stage, fire, blasts, excellent use of lights and an incredible vibe and sense of energy throughout. I'm not normally a live music DVD buyer so I can guarantee that if I have watched this countless times then so will you. Buy it, simple as!

METALLICA CAN STILL DO IT!
This dvd is an excellent package with songs from the old albums and greatlive versions of aint my bitch and king nothing. If you are worried aboutthe lack of kill em all, puppets or justice tracks then take note that theperformance of one, fade to black, creeping death and the meledy areexcellent.Only real dissappointment was the short version of master ofpuppets but this is forgetten as once the song is over and the stage fallsapart in a brilliant set piece diaster. The band play at their best and ihighly recommend this for any metallica fan.

Damn Good DVD
If you're a fan of metallica, and unlike the strange few who seem so narrow as to only appreciate the content of the first 4 albums, then this is a great excerpt from the load/reload era for you. The concert is very well recorded, and sound/picture quality are very good, considering this was the first ever concert to be released on DVD. If you are looking for songs from the beginning of their career, then i suggest you buy the live s**t binge and purge box set, or join the club and get a fan can. But this concert has a great range of songs from the time of the concert (1996) and we see all of the greats, including master of puppets (short version for this tour im afraid), enter sandman, fade to black, and one for example, as well as some great renditions of creeping death, king nothing, and a great jam of bad seed. There is some older content for the fans, and a medly of kill em all and ride the lightning songs brings together the best part of some of the best songs from these albums, followed by a great performace of motorbreath and the stage falling apart, this makes a great DVD to watch... a sound investment indeed!

Poor Show
This DVD is an average performance by MetallicA

It's downfall, too many Load and Black Album tracks.

The medley is a very poor show, with only a tiny slither of MetallicAs best songs. Many other songs could have been taken out and they could have performed all of the classic "Ride the Lightning" or "No Remorse".

As usual the performance of One is getting worse every year, On release this song was performed as a Metal Classic, now the metal crunch of the guitars has faded and the powerful burst of the chorus is gone, the song has been turned into a heavy rock ballad.

I WAS impressed when i read the DVD and it said "MASTER OF PUPPETS" i went straight to this classic song only to find they stop half way through and play into "Enter Sandman", outrageous. Can't you even play the full 8 minutes anymore.

If you make a DVD at least play some songs we want to hear
ONE isnt the only song on "...AND JUSTICE FOR ALL" there are 8 others.

From their best album "master of puppets" they perform , 1/2 a song, disgusting.

Best on DVD

MOTORBREATH
FADE TO BLACK
