Una Stubbs does 'Punky Night'!
I've really enjoyed watching this particular adaption of 'The Worst Witch'. Volume Two features episodes 4 and 5 from the CITV series and the main characters (Mildred, Maud, Miss Cackle and 'HB') nicely resemble the original illustrations from the books. I've been a fan of the Jill Murphy stories since i was small and i loved the film that came out several years ago which starred Diana Rigg. This particular film had Tim Curry as the Wizard - and i feel sorry for any actor who has to take the same part: although the Chief Wizard does look brilliant in 'Mean Halloween'. I'd recommend this, not only because i think it can be watched time and time again but because Una Stubbs does a terrific rendition of 'Punky Night'as Miss Bat in a way that only Una Stubbs could....
