Television at its very best. After nearly 8 years of drama and watching and feeling agent Mulders emotions and fears, in his desperate search for the truth, the truth about what happened to his sister, finally the truth about Mulders sister is laid to rest, at just about the right time, as the x-files was dangerously close to running his sisters abduction story into the ground, but here it was perfectly brought to its conclusion, in a tear jerker that had me weeping.
Not one for the melodramatics in anyway shape or form, but the story about his sister perfectly named here as closure is just that in every sense of the word. For everyone who has watched the x-files from the begining you will know how we have shared in the endless search for the truth, through lies upon lies, bueatifully written by Chris Carter and the rest of his team. But through all this and the ups and downs of Agent Mulders career in the FBI, through all of the times when we thought Mulder had found the truth, to have it taken away, this 2 parter of the x-files brings a comforting end to his search, and for anyone man women or child has had to deal with a great loss at some point in thier life, by creating such a story that deals with such loss in a very profound and dignified manner. I found this episode to very inspirational for anyone struggling to get over a loss in thier lifetime. Not many TV programmes have reduced me to tears but here this 2 parter did just that. Although the first part was a little slow, the second part to it more than makes up for it, bearing in mind that David Duchovny would be leaving the mainstream x-files programmes in the next 2 seasons, now was the time to bring an end to Mulders despair and let Mulder and us who has shared his grief since the very beginning of the show we all now can leave the story behind and focus on other aspects of what is to come in the next 2 seasons of the show.
Great television and a must for anyone who loves the show.

What were they thinking? This episode seems to be a convinient way of finally axing the 'Samantha' story arc. Sadly, Chris Carter and co appear to have gotten just as confused as everyone else, and dropped the whole abduction plot.
Apparently, she was taken by starlight to prevent years of pain after her kidnapping by CSM.
This is trivial, disappointing rubbish and is a real let-down to those of use who were expecting a better conclusion to the story.

"I'm fine. I'm free."The last time I cried about a TV show, I think I was about 5. Since then, I've been a self-proclaimed 'hard man' and I never cry. But this changed everything. Everything I've been watching for, everything that Mulder was searching for- it's all there. The ending was deeply upsetting and yet incredibly liberating and frankly, an incredible climax to the show's greatest mysteries. The whole show is worth watching merely for the ending, but quite frankly, I only mention the ending as the climax of one of the greatest episodes ever (That's CLOSURE, not SEIN UND ZEIT). This mythology video was voted the best ever made. I completely agree. If you miss this, you are not an X-Files fan. Don't miss it. Sure, you may have had the climax ruined by over eager journalists or friends, but don't let that spoil the most deeply emotional episode ever written. Believe. Sure, Sein und Zeit is a little disappointing up until the last 15 minutes, but Closure is incredible. Even if you're a Scully-sceptic, don't miss out on this. You must find the truth. Buy this video now. I'm begging you. Don't miss out.
You want the truth? Then buy this.
"Are you OK, Tom?" "I'm fine. I'm free."

The most upsetting episode of the X-files EVER!I don't often cry at somthing on telly but this was the exception. I've been watching the X-Files since season 2 and it was great to see Mulder finally finding out waht happened to his sister. The bit at the end with the ghosts brought me to tears. You should buy it NOW.

wow-my favorite episode!when I saw it on tv I knew I had to buy the video asap! I've watched it over and over and am still not sick of it. These eps. deal with what really happened to samantha, and it couldn't have been a better plot to end this long awaited closure. The music and graphics are spactacular and I would recomend these videos to anyone.
