Amazon.co.uk ReviewMillennium, producer-writer Chris Carter's follow-up series to
The X Files, never quite matched its elder sibling's audience appeal. In the US, it ran for three series but was cancelled before the millennium, cheating it of an apocalyptic finale. This is why semi-psychic FBI profiler Frank Black, played by star Lance Henriksen (owner of one of the most craggily expressive faces on television), pops up in the
XF iles episode named "Millennium" to resolve some, if not all, of his show's dangling story.
Along with this X Files-crossover, this VHS also includes the final episodes of Millennium ("Via Dolorosa", "Goodbye to All That"),which may bewilder UK fans since the latter show's second and third seasons haven't aired here. The Millennium wind-up has Frank Black on the trail of a killer who has copied the methods of a just-executed madman, while sub-plots about the mysterious Millennium Group abound. The X-Files episode has Mulder and Scully hauling Black out of an asylum in the last days of 1999 to advise them when ex-FBI agents who have committed suicide are raised from the dead as zombie horsemen of the apocalypse. This is also the show in which Mulder and Scully finally kiss, albeit for the New Year bells. There's also plenty of strong-meat horror drama and meaningful glances between characters who know more than is good for them, but don't expect anything like narrative closure. The unresolved plot threads pile up on the floor like spilled spaghetti at the end. --Kim Newman

Chris Carter's underrated masterpiece! This video nicely compliments both of Chris Carter's shows, and for those who havent caught up with all of MillenniuM, this video may well persuade you to check out the entire series. The scripts are sharp, the acting faultless (particularly Lance Henriksen, reliable as ever)and the story strong, (altough not nearly as involved as earlier episodes in the last 2 seasons)The X files crossover doesnt work so well, and it would have been nice to extend the crossover into a 2 or 3 part stroyline, it all feels a bit constricted, but nevertheless, a solid set of dark, and addictive storytelling that is compelling and fascinating

This is a MUST HAVE!!!If you have not seen the Chris Carter series 'Millennium', you are missing out on a FANTASTIC and well crafted TV show. I'm a huge X-Files fan, but when Millennium was aired, I was hooked!
Do yourself a favour and watch Millennium however you can, 3 seasons in all. Then, you MUST get this tape, it contains the last two episodes of Millennium, and the cross-over episode into the X-Files that contains some closure for what was happening in Millennium.
If you love the horror genre, Millennium is second to none and is sadly underated. Hopes are that FOX will bring the series to DVD, as well as a possible return to the big screen.

No wonder the series 'Millenium' didn't last long!I'm going to be blunt. This was appalling! The Millenium episodes 'Via Dolorosa' and 'Goodbye to all that' were so incredibally boring! They had no story line to them- it was basically about this weird serial killer guy who films his victims having sex whilst wearing a pair of night vision goggles before tiying them to a chair with barbed wire, stuffing rice down their throats and drilling holes in their heads! Need I say more? The X-Files episode was slightly better- but not much! The Zombies made me laugh, especially that part when Scully tries to shoot one. The involvment of Frank Black was pretty pathetic! The highlight of the episode was Mulder and Scully's Millenium kiss. Ahhhhhhhh!

Millenium hits it off for a sparkling yearThe x files mythology has evolved tremendously and the episode Millenium has contributed. This is a great episode from season 7 where we see Agents Mulder and Scully in pursuit of a millenium group who seem to be made up of FBI agents who commit suicide with terrible results. Can Mulder and Scully find answers and does their Millenium kiss leave mixed emotions ? An episode written by Chris Carter the shows creator. Surely not to be missed!

Excellent, Great, BrilliantExcellent X-Files ep, a must have for any X-Phile, can't really comment on Millenium, not really a big fan but if you love The X-Files buy it anyway! DD + GA excellent! "The Kiss" moment shadows the rest of the vid, as soon as you see those two's lips meet you just know it was worth buying...it lasts 8 and a quarter seconds and your bound to watch it again and again! Buy the vid...now!
