Easily the worst Jarre album -Well where do I begin? How can Mike Mansfield make such a balls up on what could have been a great gig? How about that the CD contents is not actually live? How do I know that? Well if you listen to the last few seconds of track one and compare this to the video, they are slightly different. Essentally we have the fragments of the revolutions album, and the likes of Oxygene in there, dubbed over with crowd noises and drizzly rain in certain places. If you listen closely, however, you can hear the samples been resampled time and time again. Sure DD had some great songs like Oxygene and Industrielle Revalations, (again, studio tracks, even the damn live video were playing to a backing track then) And what in the name of Lord Almighty is the god-awful Computer Weekend doing on there?! Urgh. From this song, the rest becomes uninspired and dreary... Bah! To round it off, this CD might prove worthwhile if you are getting into him and want an inscentive into his work, but this album is utterly pointless if you already have the likes of the stated albums.

br /I would also like to add that this concert has been out before as Jarre Live, but don't this time theyve made it obvious which concert thier using by rebadging it. Whats the point? And moreover, whats the point if you also have other albums that have these songs? Dont bother wasting your money, get the other albums as a higher priortity.

Watch out for the re-issue under another nameThis album was re-released subsequently as Jean Michel Jarre Live. Don't get caught out like I did in buying both!

What is the point of this album? This album doesn't contain bad music, but I fail to see any reason for it to exist. Effectively, you've got the Revolutions album, with the epic Industrial Revolution heavily edited, and a smattering of greatest hits filling the gap.p Even worse, the album is simply the old "Jarre Live" CD, repackaged to make it obvious which concert is being used. Jarre live at least came with a nice thick booklet which contained plenty of photos and drawings, quotes from Jarre about the venue, most of which are cut from this release.p Even worse again, you only have to look at the track lisitng from the concert(s) to see that a HUGE chunk of the original show has been cut. As a full length double CD, this would have served as a great Best-of collection - after all, the tracks we have do sound the same as the studio versions, as a previous reviewer has pointed out). Given some of the classics cut out, what on Earth is the awful Computer Weekend doing here?!p What we're left with is a CD full of good music, but which provides nothing new at all. If you've got Revolutions, there's no reason to buy this, and if you haven't got Revolutions, that should be a much higher priority than this. Make it the last Jarre album you buy for your collection.

Atmospheric but uninspiredThis album is a souvenir of Jean Michel Jarre's rain-hit concert at London's Docklands from 1988. The one thing the album does achieve is to recreate the atmosphere of the drizzly weather. In reality this album sounds just like the studio versions of his tracks set against some crowd noise. pHad he given it a couple of years, his epic "Paris La Defense" concert would have made a far more interesting album, with it's revamped renditions of his music. If you want to check out a "Jarre live" album, I suggest you investigate "Houston-Lyon: Cities In Concert" or "Jarre Hong Kong".

This is great stuff!I actually went to this concert back in 1990 (I was ten at the time). It was brilliant then, and this album captures a lot of the atmosphere.pHe is a great musician!
