Accurate, Involving and 'Dreamy'
I've watched this DVD several times now and it never fails to entertain. pFind some time to watch it when you won't be disturbed ( I find this works best ) and let the music 'take over'. Although I currently have the Dolby Digital 5.1 version I understand there is a DTS version of this title available which I'm sure would be even better. Nonetheless, the Dolby Digital 5.1 is a fantastic re-production of what must have been a superb event George should feel proud. It's certainly amongst my most-favourite music DVD's and I have a reasonably broad taste in music. pDon't be mislead, the video and audio reproduction is excellent and so-good in fact that on reflection, I don't feel too cheated by not attending this concert in person ( although after seeing this, I would definitely kick myself if George came-around again without my knowledge ). pWhat a terrific vocalist and inspiring guitarist George Benson really is, not to mention the outstanding performance of his supporting musicians and the BBC's Big-Band. You'll know what I mean if you watch this !pI hope that my opinion doesn't over-hype your first-impression but I'm very confident that any George Benson fan ( new or old ) will enjoy this DVD as I still do. Don't take my word for it...pSit-back, Relax enjoy..

Nice to have in your DVD music collection.
Being a fan of George Benson since the early 80's, but only having seen him live in concert once, I decided to buy this DVD, which has a good mix of instrumental and vocal tracks from George. His versatility is appealing to all age groups and this DVD captures the appeal of this great jazz guitar player very well. My favourite track in terms of sound quality and execution by George is Masquerade, followed closely by In Your Eyes. Other exceptional tracks are Breezin and In The Ghetto. If you like George then you'll certainly enjoy this DVD; it's one of those which is nice to have on your shelf when you fancy a change. I only gave this 4 stars, not due to Georges performance, but because the sound quality is a little inconsistant and particularly towards the end when he performs his popular tracks (such as Give Me The Night) is the sound quality of poor quality, almost as if parts of the recording equipment were no longer performing properly (or maybe George was moving around to much on stage to be properly picked up). In comparison to, say Diana Krall, the recording is definitely second rate.

Great performance from Benson in concert
I loved seeing this video of Benson in concert recorded at the Waterfront Hall in Belfast. Georgie does some classic jazzy standards (including 'All of Me' and his version of Bobby Darin's 'Beyond the Sea') followed by some new stuff from his most recent album and then he performs some of his classics including the great 'This Masquerade' and the funky 'Give me the Night'. The only thing I did not like about the show was the interferance of annoying audience members. It's a shame the concert wasn't at a stadium so that certain audience members would be less conspicuous and the stage would be higher and less easy for them to climb up on!. Apart from that a great show.

Excellent musical and entertainment content
I bought my first DVD today and thought I'd play safe and purchase music from an artiste that I have known and grown to trust. I bought his first hit album 'Breezin' in 1977 and the superb 'Give me the Night' LP in 1980. Seeing this DVD highlighted the consummate skills both using guitar and vocals that George has. I loved in particular seeing the excellent former Crusader's piano player, Joe Sample, whom I've always considered underrated, doing the number 'Deeper than you think' with George - truly superb. George clearly has the ability to deliver and to both the ladies and gents alike. His 'Love x Love' and 'In your eyes' will always be popular with the women. As well as being one of the best jazz guitarists in the world he's also a very nice guy and a great singer as the interviews at the start of the DVD testify.pA truly superb DVD and highly recommended!

George Benson in concert.....Fantastic!!
I have seen George Benson roughly ten times in concert covering a period of fourteen years and would have seen him more given the opportunity. This performance is based on Benson's concert format used for over ten years, apart from the BBC Big band backing him in this concert. pThis DVD perfectly captures Benson live and displays the diversity of his musical talent through Big band (Beyond The Sea etc..), jazz (Breezin etc..), pop (turn your love around etc..) and funk (Give me the night). Added bonuses include an interview with Benson, individual band member interviews and the chance to see Benson perform with Joe Sample from their 'Absolute Benson' collabaration. pIt is quite obvious that the actual concert included allot more tracks that Benson usually performs, which didn't make the DVD probably due to format constraints (the only thing missing unfortunately). Hopefully, these will be available someday, but you never know.pI would conclude that this is the only visual media offering I have ever seen of George Benson that you can view on your home TV. A must if your a fan and an insight to his talent if you are inquisitive. I noticed one reviewer wasn't happy with the sound quality. Mine plays and sounds excellent and I only have nicam TV sound and a budget DVD player.pIf you are a music lover, you won't regret this purchase as it's a wonderful musical experience.
