Excellent! They did it again - as good as the first!
Whether it's a movie or a compilation album, it's usually difficult to hit gold twice. This CD is fantastic - whoever pulled together the artists and the songs on this really deserves strong praise. I was pleasantly shocked to find Mary Chapin Carpenter - singing in IRISH! - on this album. Mary and Frances Black are amazing on "Ho Ro M'Inion Donn Bhoidheach," as well. (The Rankin Family do a beautiful version of this, as well.) Whether you speak Irish or just like beautiful music, you can't go wrong with this album. I hope there will be another like it - and soon! br /

EXCELLENT - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
After hearing the original 'Eist' it was hard to imagine how anything could be as good. Eist Aris, basically means 'listen again' , and after a couple of listens the tracks begin to cut deeply into the mind. This is a truly beautiful arrangement of songs and music, there' s a tune for every mood which stirs up emotion in even the most critical of listeners. Some of the songs sent a shiver down my spine. A must have !!

Beautiful follow-up to the original
An excellent collection of songs as gaeilge by some of the most respected Irish singers of our time. Capercaille Karen Matheson deliver compelling mesmerising performances, and Paul Brady's Lakes of Ponchartrain is surely a collector's item. Not too fond of the processing on Dolores Keane's voice though - totally unnecessary in my opinion. Brian Kennedy Liam O'Maonlai (Hothouse Flowers) both display a masterful command of the language it's delivery. Get the original as well while you're at it.
