They don't make them like they used to....
1937, the release of the first feature length animated film - Snow White and the Seven Dwarves. 2009 and I'm writing a review on it, saying it's one of the best animated films ever made, in over 70 years very little has surpassed this film, I sound like my grandma when I say they don't make them like they used to and this is especially true of children's films. The emphasis now seems to be on trying to make the characters as lifelike as possible using computer imagery when an old fashioned cartoon is still the best on the market. br / br /This is the first film that I ever cried at, a memory that will stay with me for the rest of my life. As with many Disney movies this is a story of good vs evil with a sub-plot of romance. It is the characters that make this a truly memorable film, everyone will be able to identify with the dwarves, if not as a character that you are then as someone you know. A feel good family film. br /

Terrible Seller
I bought this Disney Snow White DVD in good faith. It cost over £25 but when it arrived it was a pirate copy which would not play. This customer ignored my emails and thankfully Amazon looked after me in the end. I would advise anyone to avoid this seller like the plague.

Classic in every way
Disneys first still to this day holds its own as one of Disney's magical movies of all time.

The fairest DVD set of them all
Not only is the original film the first and "Fairest of them all" Disney also made sure to kick off their DVD classics collection with a bang way back in 2001. br / br /This set was pretty much wholly unique at the time. The platinum edition was only available in this set and what a set it is! br / br /The first disc is pretty much the same deal as the normal DVD. It has the restored film and commentary along with the minegame. The real treasure is found on the second disc on this set. br / br /The second disc is choc full of infomation regarding Snow White and the researchers for this release have gone to incredible lengths. Along with the usual galleries and deleted scenes are various excerpts from story drafts, long deleted scenes. Archived radio broadcasts of the story and a show about the films premiere. Even a gallery for all of Snow White's re-release posters. It's all presented here with a lot of love and care. br / br /The book added in the set is small but features lots of information and concept art to boot and makes a nice companion to the film. The book is of a far higher quality than the books found in the more recent "book boxes" of Jungle Book and 101 Dalmatians. br / br /If you are a diehard Disney fan this set is pretty much the ultimate Disney DVD and it's worth every penny even at the crazy prices it sells at in present day
