Amazon.co.uk ReviewDesigned for infants and toddlers (one to 36 months),
Baby Bach is a nicely produced video that features familiar toys and colourful objects, moving to the complex beautiful music of Johann Sebastian Bach. According to the video producers, "Bach's music has shown to enhance creativity, improve academic achievement, reduce anxiety and heighten mental awareness". Any parent will embrace this theory. Not only did this video completely captivate a 22-month-old for its entire 30-minute run-time but it's easy on the parents, too. The images are lively, clean and sharp and producers The Baby Einstein Company have a firm handle on what interests babies and toddlers. The extraneous segments with two pretty little blonde girls is silly but forgivable. Given that most children elect to watch a video repeatedly, this is one that parents won't mind in the slightest. The music, available on CD, is simply lovely. --

Baby Mozart is by far the best one

Baby Bach - Mozart is much betterMy daughter has loved the Baby Mozart video since she was 5 months old. We decided to buy the Baby Bach as a variation on the theme. However, we feel, that the video is just not as good as Baby Mozart.
Baby Bach has poor quality imagery, the sound snippets are not tied into the visuals properly (considering Bach is an amazing composer the music here is poorly played and poorly linked in), and the whole thing seems to be a home video for the Clark family, rather than of professional standard.
We've given it 3 stars - it's still watchable and enjoyable in parts but I would not regard it as an essential piece of baby entertainment. Borrow it rather than buy it.
If you see this before getting Baby Mozart then may I suggest you go for the Baby Mozart instead.

Mozart 5 Bach nilWith both parents reaching the limits of endurance watching Baby Mozart several times a day, we decided to buy Baby Bach for a little variety, hoping for a similar quality.
Sadly we were dissapointed. The video quality was much poorer - many blurred images when fast moving toys are shown. The music was less engaging - with Baby Mozart, you find yourself humming the tunes around the house. JS Bach's more catchy tunes are in short supply here, however. And finally - those American kids! Aaargh!
Maximum one viewing per day for this one!

Good images and music for young babies.Although somewhat amateur my baby really likes this video (hey she can't tell it was made on a shoestring budget!) The classical music is great and the images are bright and interesting. At half an hour long this is about the right length to keep her amused without over stimulating, or becoming bored. Not recommended for parents though, I now leave the room I've seen it so many times it bores me silly!

Another Gem from the Baby Einstein CollectionMy son has loved his Baby Mozart video since the age of around 3 months and so it was with great anticipation that we awaited the arrival of Baby Bach, hoping for some of the same magic. We weren't disappointed. Although in some respects it isn't quite as vibrant as Baby Mozart, my son still loves it, sits engrossed from beginning to end and smiles at the antics of the puppets.
I found that the children seemed to be a bit intrusive on this video, but perhaps that it intentional as the baby shows his pleasure at seeing other little ones by smiling at them when they appear.
Although I wouldn't rank it as high as Baby Mozart, it is certainly a keeper for any baby video shelf.
