Amazon.co.uk Review
Fire up The Final Scene and you're greeted with the most gripping opening sequence yet in a Nancy Drew game. As the ageless, mystery-cracking heroine, you accompany your friend Maya to a historic but dilapidated theatre to interview teen heart-throb Brady Armstrong for the opening of his new movie. As Maya disappears into the dressing room for the interview, you hear a scream, but when you charge in to investigate Maya is nowhere to be found. Do you have what it takes to track down Maya's kidnapper before the theatre is demolished?

The most notable improvement in the game comes in the form of the distinctive characters. With each new Nancy Drew game, the script and character work get better. The dialogue here has a youthfulness and sense of humour missing from the previous games. The old-theatre setting and the game's theme of magic are admirable, but it would be good if there were more nooks and crannies to explore.

A minor nitpick is that the time-frame seems somewhat limiting. Previous Nancy Drew games had an open feel with no sense of urgency and you solved the mystery in your own time. In The Final Scene, the gameplay is divided into three days and you must accomplish specific tasks before you can move on to the next day. Though this structure lends itself well to the game's plot, it's easy to get stuck on one clue. However, you can always look for help on the message boards at Her Interactive's Web site.

Little grumblings aside, The Final Scene really is a fabulous game that goes above and beyond most games out there right now. It's highly recommended for anyone aged 10 or over. --Ara Jane Olufson

Nice game!
I read a lot of reviews which complained about the game beeing played in one place only (The royal palladium theatre), but to tell the truth I didn't think that was so bad. After all there were a lot of rooms in the building. The "Creepy-factor" in this game was not THAT high, so if you want something TOTALLY scary, this is not the right game for you. Even though the storyline wasn't boring. Despite all of this, I thoroughly enjoyed this game because it didn't have that many mini-games, so it left enough time for the case. This game is very scenic even though (as said so many times) it is only in one building. Why? Because the theatre has lots of hallways crammed full of paintings of famous magicians and such, also the stage-room has victorian architecture.
The projection-room is a very active area in the game since most of the scariest scenes take place there.
The second chance button is very useful and if your looking for something scary, but not too scary, look here.

THE FINAL SCENE
THIS GAME WAS AN UTTER DISAPPOINTMENT AFTER THE OTHER NANCY DREW GAMES I HAVE PLAYED,IT WAS VERY SLOW,EXTREMELY SHORT AND FAR TOO MANY "RED HERRINGS" WERE IN IT,I FELT IT WAS A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY AND TO BE HONEST IT HAS PUT ME OFF PURCHASING ANY MORE GAMES AS I SO ENJOYED THE OTHER ONES I HAVE I AM AFRAID IF I GET ANYMORE THEY MAY BE AS DISAPPOINTING AS THIS ONE -AND WHERE ON THE PC IS THE "DELUXE OPTION"?I CETEINLY DID NOT FIND IT!

not the best bnancy drew
Not the best of the Nancy Drew games, Lacks a bit of imagination, the game is played in one place,...the royal palladium theatre..compared to the other Nancy Drew games I feel this game has a lack of puzzles... I love adventure games and especially Nancy Drew but was rather disapointed in this one.

Nancy Drew The Final Scene
If you love lots of puzzles this is the game for you, kids will love this game but some of the puzzles are sometimes difficult.
This is one of the first Nancy Drew game I bought and now I have the full set of them and I can't wait until the new ones to come out
I love this game and I know once you play this one you will have to have the rest added to your collection
The story and graphic's are really good and you can't go wrong with buying this game
