Now Anghellic, is definetly not 'Satan' and certainly all 'Jesus', (just some Tech N9ne terminology for you care of '20 - Going Bad'). This album hits you from all angles. If you fancy a bit of Drum & Bass first check out '11 - It's Alive', (also track '6 - Psycho B****'). This kicks off a spurt of party tracks, tracks 12 - 14. Listen to '12 - Einstein' to really 'break your neck'. Trust me, Planet Rock 2K1 has some killer lyrics. He's "ton'niviganmad" (He "flipped it backwards for you flow snatchers"). N9na goes retrospective on '9 - Suicide Letters', '7 - Real Killer', & '8 - Cursed'. One of my favourite tracks is '15 - Who You Came To See'. It's a great depiction of the album's overall dope production, which greatly compliments N9na's delivery & vice versa. All the tracks on Anghellic (bar 5 skits & 1 fifteen second song) are a showcase for Tech N9ne's ability to switch flows, keeping you on your toes, so you better listen close 'cause believe he's got a reason to boast. I don't want to give away too much of this album as I only bought it on the strength of one cut, that being P.R. 2K1. You should make time to listen Amazon's audio clips, you can thank me & them later when you've bought the album. To be honest there's not one song I don't like. Just so you know, Chino Xl ('buy' I Told You So), Bizzy Bone ('buy' The Gift), Ras Kass & the usual suspects such as Snoop, Xzibit, Eminem, Bone Thugs, Rakim etc. are some of my personal collection.
Ultimately, with N9na's 'crispy' spittin' and lyrical flow you can't help but nod your head, at the same time smile at his clever lyrics and marvel at the speed yet clarity maintained when doing so. Real Hip Hop heads will feel this and I hope some new heads will be attracted to this next level of Rap, just like the Gravediggaz (R.I.P. Poetic) bought some attention to the game.
