Brilliant
I havent heard a trio sound this tight since The Police, this DVD gives you a chance to see Ben Folds Five perform live, in a US version of Later With Jools Holland type show.

For any Ben Folds Five fans its a must. For anyone else with an appreciation of what three very good musicians can do, along with Ben Folds songwriting. Then this is also a must.

Its a shame the Five went their own ways. This captures them at their best.

The best band ever!?
Buy this dvd, its the best music dvd i have ever seen. Most music dvds are watched once but then dont really grab you back, this one begs for repeat to be played!!!!

Magical
If you can, get a solely audio recording of this performance to listen to - all the songs have fantastically more energy than on albums, and are a delight to listen to as ever - sunny, happy music. On screen, it's great to watch - Ben Folds Five do some interesting things live, e.g. the reed/keyboard instrument in "Steven's Last Night in Town", and the singing from all three is top notch. You'll want an audio copy to listen to away from your screen.

There are also some fun extras, fairly low quality but amusing all the same; other performances, the band improvising on joke TV shows and driving motorcycles ("my machine!").

Of particular interest is "Theme from Dr. Pyser"; a pastiche of 1950's American TV themes like "Mission Impossible", but actually better than all of them. Really extremely good.

Totally Thrilling
This DVD is an absolute must have for anyone with an interest in music, this was the first Ben Folds item I bought and i have been totally delighted, not knowing what to expect at first. The songs performed are great, and particularly enjoyable is the song 'She don't use jelly' the amusing lyrics combined with great vocal harmonies and musicianship make this and the rest of the DVD very enjoyable. Ben Folds sheer talent becomes apparent watching this, in his playing and songwriting. A must have.
