Golgo 13 Reviewed
Golgo 13, the proffesional is not for simpletons with narrow minded opinions on action manga films. The animation combined with the music give the feel of an 70's charles bronson film named (The Mechanic). Golgo is filled with a unique mystery and a godlike charisma wich creates the atmosphere intended for the film. He is a loner hitman, who takes every job he is offered and always follows the job through. He is an animated version of clint eastwood without the witty remarks. Buy this film straight away as it is special in the way it produces itself to the audience.

A Cult Classic by far.
First of all this is what I want to say-'This is what a James Bond film should be like', and in that I include everything-the sex; the violence; the depraved and deadly villians; as well as the mad mastermind that is behind it all.pThe Professional is one of my most favourite films ever, I simply love every part of this film, to me Golgo 13 is a character of pure creation and fantasy-he drinks and smokes as much as he wants to, with the fantasy that it won't effect him; has relationships with women but couldn't care less what happened to them after he was done with them, yet at the same time he doen't go after every woman that he meets; Golgo 13 has the cold and ruthless demeaner that is suited to James Bond and is in my opinion the kind of man that Ian Flemming had the idea of when he created James Bond. Flemming wanted to create a character that was pure escapeism for the average man, and this is what Golgo 13 is.pAs a professional assassin Golgo 13 is hired on reputation alone and is so skilled at killing people that he has never failed a client, this creates the story of the whole film. As, after Golgo 13 kills the son of Leonard Dawson-purhaps the most influential man in the whole world, Golgo 13 recieves the ultimate test as assassins and killers from the Pentagon; the CIA; and the Amercian Army are sent to kill him in an act of revenge. If this impossible task was not enough three other killers, that are so deadly and purverted that they are deemed inhuman, are also sent after him.pGolgo 13:The Professional is a great film with action that ceases to be dated though at times the animation does seem a little bit somewhat old, though I believe that it is this that makes Golgo 13 the cult classic that it is.pBy the way, when I said that it was what a James Bond film should be like, don't get the wrong idea that he goes running around with watches that contain a mini-satelites or any other stupid gadegtry. Golgo 13 only needs a good rifle to get at those that stand in his way. The film is a ruthless-action treatpThe region two Manga release has limited special features, as a matter of fact apart from the few trailers there is nothing and there is only an English language which comes directly from the VHS release. Picture and sound quality are an average DVD conversion.

If you're on his hit list you're already dead.pReviewpI found Golgo 13 to be a highly action-packed movie, with a strong story and excellent dialogue in both the audio and the subtitling; I wouldn't want to give too much away except to say that there are a lot of surprises around each corner. It's a movie that's not to be missed. The story will keep you hooked, the action will blow your mind and in order to find out what happens next (there's that many twists and turns) you won't be able to take your eyes off the screen.

unique manga
Definitely the one manga feature that doesn't seem to fit in with the rest, this is in a world of it's own. The retro stuff is excellent, as well as the totally sleazy music but it fits the images with a glove. A film that could do all the action packed scenes without spending millions, and before many of other movies. Gold and Silver are just insane. When I bought this, I was a little dissapointed, but I learnt to accept that this wasn't the typical Manga movie. pBuy this if you like a sleazy, but clever story and a super cool almost anti hero.

hello retro feel
yuk! 15 pound down the pan i usually love manga but this time i just couldn't!bra boring, too drawn out story with TERRIBLE music and pathetic charecters that you can't really care about doesnt make for good films.brmediocre animation with 'classy' poor quality freeze frames every 5 seconds or so! this feels like its fresh out of the seventys!brdont buy!
