If This Doesn't Move You, You're a Monster and No Longer a Member of the Human Race.
This film is a big ol' 70's epic. Despite its limitations, especially the unsympathetic Dunaway character, Jon Voight and Ricky Schroeder steal the show. Their on screen relationship is incredibly strong and the ending is, without doubt, THE saddest part to any movie in the history of cinema. br /I blub like a small child who's peeled a basin full of onions, after being told his pet dog has just been run over, whilst rescuing his favourite cuddly toy from disaster, every time I see it. br /And I know what's coming! br /If you watch this and are not moved, please contact your local hospital to have urgent tests on your tear ducts and your stone cold heart, you fiend! br /Definitely worth buying for a rainy Sunday afternoon.

Best film EVER!!!!
This film has got to be an all time classic and also the biggest tear jerker ever to be made. Ive seen this film hundreds of times and it still makes me cry. The actors are amazing and the little boy gave such an award winning performance. I think its one of the best films EVER!!!

ive seen this film so many times ... its amazing everytime i watch it i will cry my big manly heart out. br /Its with out a doubt the sadest film ive ever seen. br /The acting from 'Tj' is outstanding. not one bad word to say about this film br / br /add it to your collection, its a must have

UK Version
Can anybody tell me when this DVD will be available to buy in the UK?! I have looked everywhere and seem only able to buy the region 1 DVD from the US. Why is this? Such a classic film and yet nobody seems to be stocking it!

DVD ALSO UNPLAYABLE AFTER CHAPTER 16
I also found this DVD unplayable after chapter 16 and tried it on 4 players, same as the person from Scotland. Got an instant refund from Caiman, but this item is no longer available from them (do they know something we don't?). Have ordered it from another US supplier, will let you know the outcome.
