Lenzi Frenzy!!I don't know anyone who's seen this film who doesn't love it! (well, zombie film fans anyway)brAdmittedly there's a distinct lack of plot - basically a military cargo plane lands with zombies in it (without explanation) and from there on it's just a blood thirsty zombie-geddon - but the sheer non-stop brutality of it will keep all zombie fans in awe! From the very beginning to the very end it's wave after wave of irreverant characters being slaughtered! These aren't your slow cumbersome 'Romero' type zombies either, they're fast and rather intelligent with plenty of weapons at their disposal!brDay of the Dead this most certainly is not, but then it doesn't pretend to be. It's simply an enjoyable blood thirsty undead romp!pTrust me, if you like zombie films (and I most certainly do) then you really should love this! Just don't expect a plot! Oh, and look out for the live tv dancing scene!

Typically terrible actingOh dear. The trademark wooden acting that plagues many potentially excellent Italina horror films is here en mass. While Lucio Fulci, Rugero Deodato and Dario Argento's (although Argento picks his actors and actresses considerably better than the previously mentioned directors) films are generally saved by a wonderful sense of atmosphere, Nightmare City lacks any atmosphere at all. The box claims that the zombies are the most active of their kind, with levels of energy previouls unseen in such movies. I have to disagree. What it should be saying is that, while the zombies don't creep and crawl around the place like typical zombies, they do run around like normal people, and end up looking distinctly like men in zombie masks. Oh, they are men in zombie masks. No points for special effects then. There's not much to recomed about this film, and it is sad to say that is is completey ripped of from Romero's infinitely superior Dawn Of The Dead, which I would have to recomend over this.
