Breaking Benjamins best album
This is a great album. More raw power than the two following records. I think this is the best album the band have made to date. Great lyrics and vocals. The only downer i have is that its not anything I have never heard before and you can hear elements of several different bands. Jimmy Eat World, Bush, Silverchair etc even so far as to say Godsmack and KoRn however they have taken parts of other genres and made a blistering, fast paced and well oiled record.

Had to listen to it a few times to realise the sheer BRILLIANCE!
I had purchased the other 2 Breaking Benjamin albums(which are also amazing)before i purchused this one...so i knew what to expect. I was very dissapointed when i first listened to it because its slighty different from the other albums..but i gave it a chance and now it is one of my favourite albums at the moment! br / br /Every song is amazing but i think the best songs are "Water","Medicate",Shallow Bay". br / br /So for anyone who is interested in buying their first BB album then i would advise them to buy one of the other albums first. But this is still amazing!

Absolutely Amazing
I have no idea where I discovered Breaking Benjamin; all I know is that I'm certainly glad I did. This is a powerful, consistent album which, when I listen to it, makes me think: "I must've done something good to deserve this brilliance penetrating my ears." (Surprisingly, in some parts this album reminds me of a softer version of Korn [specifically their eponymous CD].)pThe band have a very 'raw' sound, emphasised by the lead singer's rough yet emotional vocals. One of the most remarkable aspects of this CD is the fact that it combines heavy rock guitars with cohesive vocals rather than incomprehensible screaming - you can actually hear the lyrics! (Which is obviously a great thing.)pOpener 'I Wish I May' is one of my favourites, along with 'Skin', 'No Games', 'Shallow Bay' and the beautiful 'Next To Nothing'; although these are simply the icing on a delicious cake. ('Sugarcoat' does not appeal to me as much as the rest of the album, though it is still of a good standard.)pOverall, I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys powerful rock music which actually has a tune and understandable vocals.

A Yellow Brick Road That We Follow Back Home
There are very few albums i have ever bought where i can say that i completely enjoyed every track. This is one of the rare few which i did.brThis is a very well balanced album and most people should be able to find a song they like. The main genre is a kind of energetic heavy metal which is encompassed by most of the songs.brHowever, there are a couple of gentler songs such as "Next to Nothing" and "No Games", whereas "Sugarcoat" and "Phase" are much more agro, for those people who like their rock heavier.brAlso, four of the tracks from Saturate were used to great effect in the videogame Run Like Hell, where their powerful riffs and out of the ordinary lyrics suited the tense atmosphere of the game perfectly. All four of these tracks "Polyamorous", "Water", "Home" and "Shallow Bay" are absolutely stunning and should not be missed, my personal favourite on this album being "Home".brTracks that also tend to jump out with their true potential are "Natural Life" and "Medicate".brIf you enjoy rock music, you really need this album, I only gave it 5 stars because Amazon wouldn't let me give it 10.brTrust me, buy this, its great.

Nickleback meets funeral for a friend
I heard and keep hearing breaking benjamin at the end of credits on films, they're music is completly geared up for that or so it seems, yes it works well when your trying to remember what lynsey lohan's character is actaully called but it works a world better when you want to express your emotion without sliting your writsts, this is great american rock. But typical. I don't know much about them but they mix power chord riffs the way nickleback do to make an incredibly heavy sound whilst not going as far as slipknot btw. and then slipping awesome riffs over the top often a la funeral. However, they do not sound in any way at all like either of them. Songs such as sugarcoat, water, polyamorus and natural life are simply masterpieces. They don't focus too much on complicated picture painting lyrics but have a more down to earth approach and for me its a great break from all the crud that's out there at the moment. This is surly the best four piece band around at the moment challenged only by brand new. brIt's great American rock metal and i can garentee you'll love it. Everyone i know does. N.B. if you go to their site you can listen to all of their songs and watch a few videos ;) brEnjoy! Highly recommended. it's even better when your dumped aswellbrcheers all
