A laid back and relaxing album from Al Martino
Merry Christmas br / br /This beautiful and relaxing Christmas CD by Al Martino is a real gem for all of his fans old and new.Recorded in the high summer of 1964 with arranger/ conductor Peter DeAngelis the album conveys perfectly the spirit of the season. Al's voice is relaxed and mature,his diction perfectly clear and with reverential arrangements and lovely orchestrations this is the perfect album for your holiday this season. br / br /Al Martino's interpretations of these lovely Christmas songs are inspiring and just make you want to sing along with him. The brilliant orchestral accompaniment is a joy - the orchestra does not overpower the vocals but simply compliments Al's performances of these songs. br /Just for interest, listen out for the song "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer". Yes, Al does actually sing it correctly and one cannot fault his diction. Too many singers make do with "red nose reindeer" instead of "red nosed reindeer". It does make all the difference in the performance of a song if the singer takes the trouble to sing the words correctly as does Al in this recording. br / br /This was Al Martino's only Christmas album and is a delightful CD which will give you many hours of listening pleasure for many years to come. br / br /Happy holidays and happy listening! br /
