NICKELBACK - dieser Name wird in den letzten Monaten wohl jedem das ein oder andere Mal um die Ohren geflogen sein. Die Band um den charismatischen Sänger Chad Kroeger, die mit ihrem Song "How You Remind Me" weltweit durch die Decke geknallt ist, konnte durch diesen Mega Erfolg den Longplayer "Silver Side Up" weltweit mehr als 7 Millionen mal verkaufen. In fast allen Ländern, in denen er veröffentlicht wurde, konnte er mit Platin ausgezeichnet werden. In einigen Ländern sogar mehrfach. Auch in Deutschland konnte Platin verliehen werden, und dazu hat die Band noch im August diesen Jahres den Kometen in der Kategorie "Best Rock Act" gewonnen. Getourt wurde auch und zwar ausgiebig! 18 Monate lang war die Band auf Tour. USA, Australien, Japan, Europa, und nicht zuletzt auch im Heimatland Kanada wurde "Silver Side Up" in diversen Clubs und später auch großen Venues live vorgestellt. Eine Halle steht in Edmonton, Kanada. Dort konnte sich die Band einen Wunschtraum erfüllen. Sie spielte in der gleichen Halle, in der sie vor Jahren selbst als Fans im Publikum standen und sich Bands wie Metallica oder Motörhead angeschaut haben. Am 25.01.02 war es dann soweit, und im Zuge der "Silver Side Up" Tour standen die 4 Kanadier selbst vor 25.000 Leuten auf der Bühne. Die größte Show, die sie bis dato je in einer Halle gespielt hatten. Diese kraftvolle und mit Pyrotechnik angefüllte Show wurde unter Leitung von Regisseur Nigel Dick u.a. Video zu "Too Bad" aufgezeichnet und anschließend auf eine DVD gebannt. Wer im Zuge der Deutschlandtour NICKELBACK gesehen hat, wird Teile der Live Show sofort wiedererkennen und andere Teile werden neu für ihn sein. Sich die Band mit einer fantastischen Licht- und Pyroshow auf DVD zu geben ist fett! Natürlich sind auch ihre Hits "How You Remind Me", "Too Bad", "Leader Of Men" und "Old Enough" vertreten.

I can only concur!
I bought this DVD expecting to see an edited version of a live show with all the usual glitches and hitches. Not so! This is a FATNTASTIC DVD - not only is the music out of this world, but there are SO many more features to this DVD. You can read the other reviews to see what they are: (briefly, following the Band around Brussels while they have some "down" time - backstage - actually WATCHING Chad Kroeger as he composes "Feelin' way too damn good" (History being made)... there are lots of backstage moments too - lots of fun. Then you can watch the director (Nigel Dick) actually putting the show together and then see up close how the videos are made.) This DVD promises and delivers HOURS of entertainment and a real personal insight into the band - you feel like you are one of the crew - it's great!!

Live At Home - Great Value For A Great Concert
Recorded back in 2002 during the Silver Side Up World Tour Nickelback returned home to Canada and recorded this dvd in front of their Sell-Out home crowd. br /The crowd noise/signing along is very strong on the DVD and come through well. The editing is brilliant with a large camera crew on head and a first class director to piece the whole thing together. br /The setlist is a good one, if a little short, Nickelback only had the two world wide realise albums (Silver Side Up The State) at this point, they only reissued (for world wide realise) their rare debute 'canada only' album, Curb, after sales of Silver Side Up through the roof. br /With a bonus from a guest appearance from Mr Jerry Cantrel of Alice in Chains for a Cover of Ain't Like That, this dvd has it all. br /The bonus features include various making ofs and the music videos for Leader Of Men, Too Bad and How You Remind Me. The live video for their 3rd single from Silver Side Up, Never Again, was ripped straight from this dvd. br /The pyro is amazing throughout and the flames lick the top of the arena, it's a great show and one which is well worth getting for any Nickelback fan. br / br /Setlist: br /Intro / Woke Up This Morning br /One Last Run br /Too Bad br /Breathe br /Hollywood br /Hangnail br /Worthy To Say br /Never Again br /Old Enough br /Where Do I Hide? Nickelback - At Home Live 2002
If you are a Nickelback Fan then you are going to love this. If you are into 'Rock' then again you are still going to love it. A full Live concert of the highest quality. Plus, Lots of information, interviews, videos of released hits and great background new's on the band letting you in to see how they are together and behind the scenes. Makes you want to be a Roadie just to be there and live it......Top Value

Nickelback - a stunning DVD!
Nickelback are a great rock band, with legions of followers. And I'm sure that those followers will be pleased to get their hands on this fantasic DVD. Not only does it show the amazing band performing brilliantly in concert (which I have not seen better!), it is also awash with extra's. You shall get to: See the band before and after they go on, a trip out around Brussels, and much more. It also has music video's for 'How You Remind Me' and Too Bad'.pBut extra's never make up for a concert if its c**p! But do not worry, the concert it stunning, with each band member strutting thweir stuff! More Importantly, it sounds astronimcal, and everything balances out, so their is no problems like 'the drums are too loud' or 'you can't hear the guitars'. It is a great tribute to Nickelback, and along with the extra's, which let you see an insight into the band member's personal lives, makes this DVD a must for any Nickelback fan or rock fan! Buy it! Now!

N.B must have
I was at the 2002 Nickelback concert in london and this DVD brought back all the memories. The quality is outstanding, and its holds a lot of Chad and co's bigger hits. To any Nickelback fans out there, I urge you to get this DVD!
