Amazon.co.uk ReviewWelcome to Scooby and the gang: Fred, Daphne, Velma and Shaggy, who have been called in to solve a puzzling problem in the Kudzula County Museum of Natural History. A strange Glowing Bug Man has been seen roaming around the halls of the museum; things start to happen, property is wrecked, specimens get mixed up and all sorts of other devilment occurs. Who is the man? Where has he come from? Is he the one creating havoc? The museum must stay closed while all the pandemonium and ransacking continues. Help Scooby and the gang to find out what's happening. Assist them in restoring the exhibits and spotting clues to suss out the case. And never fear; help is always on hand from Nigel Nightwatch, head of the museum's security department. p The CD is aimed at children aged 5-10 years and covers a large range of abilities, but this broad age span is catered for in three levels of difficulty, thus creating the appropriate challenges for a particular age or ability. The activities offered are full of fun and excitement and allow players to investigate by using logic, critical thinking, research, deductive reasoning, matching and sorting--all necessary to encourage the development of thinking and problem-solving skills (and your children won't even realise they're learning). Some of the activities can be printed out so enjoyment can continue even after the PC has been switched off. p Accompanying the package is a simple leaflet explaining installation, but it should be noted that the excellent user guide, which is clear, concise and comprehensive, can be accessed from the original menu. It should be read before beginning and help may be needed for younger players. --ISusan Naylor/I

Scooby Doo - glowing bug manWe had bought the other Scooby Doo games (Jinx at the Sphinx, Showdown in Ghosttown, Phantom of the Knight) and had a lot of fun. So we were expecting a simialr format quality from this product. Alas, we were bitterly disappointed. The game play is feeble, the interesting format of the other games (collect items, work out how to use them to progress in the game) had gone. The puzzles were repetative, and my 5-year-old could do them with ease on the middle setting. We finished the whole thing in an hour and no-one has shown any interest in replaying it. Given how much it cost, I feel ripped off. Very very disappointing. I won't be buying any more Scooby Doo games in the future.

Scooby - Glowing bug - very poorThis is the fourth Scooby game I have purchased for the children. I loaded it up and 1 hour later it was completed (the kids are 5 and 6). The entire game revolves around an all-too-easy to complete format which differs from the previous games, all of which are excellent and involve some degree of thought and problem solving.pThis is a very poor game and one which is not recommended.
