ulver...comfortable sounscapes???
ulver here have finally grown up. the angst ridden lonely melodies and inspirations are gone, here replaced by something much smoother....
the sounds and effects of thius cd are really thick and non-casio like- very profeesional compared to the dabblings of metamorphosis and the the silence and singing ep's.
however...if u love ulber for the mood of kveldsjanger and silence teaches you to sing, (lamenting melancholy) then you may bne dissapointed as this is muuch less troubled.
still dark, more pacified and always very professional in every aspect of music....this is a wonderful ulver album; full of mystery, and yearning......it just ain't NBM.
this is a velvity smooth soundscape...mainly drawing from inspiration like aphex, autechre, boards and other well known ambienty/electroclash styles to form a gorgous embodyment of ulver-chill!
