Kraftwerk at their peakKraftwerk hav a strong claim to be the most influential group of musicians ever to emerge from Europe, possibly excepting the Beatles!!!At the time of TEE,their more obvious disciples were Bowie,Fripp and Eno,and since, well, just about anyone who has touched a synthersizer has learned something from Kraftwerk.Go to any dance club today, and you'll hear Kraftwerk clones and rip-offs non-stop.
TEE shows why,it's their best("Man Machine" being a close second). The highlight is "Trans-Europe Express/Metal On Metal",a brilliant soundscape that really evokes a long train ride-try listening to it on a train and you'll see what I mean."Showroom Dummies" is a danceable song, and "Europe Endless" and "Franz Schubert" return to wonderful soundscapes.
As with most Kraftwerk,TEE is available in German and English-try to get the German-language version. You won't regret it.

Great electronic musicThis is a brilliant album. If you think it will be rubbish as it is electronic you are completely wrong. The electronic voice is what makes Kraftwerk brilliant and unique from other bands and groups. It is worth buying just to see what it's like.

Real craftmanshipOn first listen this sounds like a jumble of sound effects and words but the melodies and music quickly worm their way into the brain. [...]. The track Trans Europe Express turns the idea of escape into something rather menacing and Kraftwerk's attention detail is such that it even finally grinds to a halt in a screech of brakes. As for the Showroom Dummies, let's hope they don't escape again!

Retro Electronic Music at its best ....!!Since the unfortunate "demise" of my Turntable , it is ages since I have had the chance to Re-visit the older Kraftwerk Albums .
Having seen them in 1981 (Computerworld Tour - hammersmith Odeon)
I feel they are still high amongst the inspiration for so much of todays music.
Of course I have been a fan for ages , so did not need much convincing.
The Minimalist approach , and thematic approach to their earlier works still stand the test of time , with classics like the Single "Showroom Dummies " included here and the Hypnotic "Europe Endless" and title track "Trans Europe Express" a superb album full of good memories.
