Editorial reviews

Amazon.co.uk Review
Sharper and deeper than Robin Williams's previous road material, Live on Broadway is a mature comedian's view of all things to do with power, prejudice and paranoia in the 21st century. On the anthrax scare of 2001: "The Senate cleared out of their building but told the rest of us 'Get on with your normal lives'!" On his solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict over Jerusalem: "Time share!" On the pitfalls of America's deepening alliance with Britain: "The House of Commons is like Congress with a two-drink minimum". A viewer may have to slog through Williams's tedious breast fetishism, but patience is quickly rewarded with bitchy takes on Martha Stewart facing prison, solid satire about French existentialist judges at the Olympics and subversive op-eds about the Bush administration's inability to clarify terrorist threats to the public ("Has the CIA become the Central Intuitive Agency?"). --Tom Keogh

ok let me start by saying im a big robin fan ok so dont all be like oh well he just dont understand cuz i do,but this wasnt typical robin humour this was more american humour which isnt like the chris rock kinda funny stuff its more like the little britain pish we get, sorry but its not funny,i feel that true comedy has long since lost its way...but hey thats just my opinion still think robins great tho :) p.s it has the occasional good gag so if ur into american humour u will love it

Absolutely hillarious!
Tahnk god for pause buttons! I pissed myself laughing all through this DVD, Robin really is on tip-top form!

Thing is, I find his stuff creeping into my everyday life (i've watched it that many times), so much so that when someone aksed me how i was coping in this sudden heatwave here in the UK, i replied "no, i like it so hot that the sweat runs down the crack of ma ass like Niagra" !!!

You can't miss it.
Superb Robin Williams at his best. If you think that he is just another very good a movie actor, well then you are definitely wrong. Five stars are not enough to rate Robin’s performance.

A fantastic peice of work
Williams is on top form here. He makes fun of just about everybody and everything, from the Scottish to the Brazillians, from Micheal Jackson to George B and Tony B.
If you are easily offended and are looking for clean humor, this one is not for you. On the other hand if you are looking for pure talent and a well of one liners, then this is highly recommended.

We Bow Before You Master Robin
Robin Williams is unique. This sentence should do to summarize my all review. Robin Williams is a rare actor. Robin Williams is absolutely magnificent! Robin Williams is entertaining you for about two and half hours full of laugh, strange body expressions and fantastic noises impressions. Warning, possible stomachache during the all comedy process. Robin Williams curses all the time. Robin Williams gives you academic teaching about several matters, how golf was born…eheh. Warning, Scottish descendents may find this extremely enlightening. Probably it will give them ideas for the next sport to be invented. Robin Williams demonstrates cleverness in its being and intelligence in its improvisation. Robin Williams is a joke machine, he sweats like a pig, but no short circuit is enabling. The amount of bottles of water that he uses for “refueling” is as impressive as his jokes are!
Robin Williams is…Robin Williams.
The DVD features an interview with Robin Williams and Marty Caliner, the director of the Show “Live On Broadway”, a behind the scenes and an incredible Easter Egg, that will make you laugh ‘till your mouth starts burning and your facial muscles star aching.
This is by far one of the most valuable DVDs of my huge collection.
Since I’ve bought it 14 visualizations weren’t enough. Stand Up Comedy at it’s best!
