Simply disgusting...
br /PLEASE NOTE: THIS REVIEW IS FOR 'PINK FLAMINGOS' ONLY: br / br /I bought this movie after I first saw 'Hairspray' (the 1987 original) and thought that Divine was hilarious. However, I did not quite know what to make of this movie, or just what I was letting myself in for - it's SO disgusting and obscene... Not only that; but the story did not make any sense to me either (perhaps it was not meant to) The strange thing is, some years later, I read a review of the film on another Site by someone who pointed out that this movie makes a really good statement about modern society and its obsession in becoming famous; it is a great representation of what people will do to become famous today, and the lengths they will go to! Think about it, and the movie does make some sense - kind of! The only puzzle is, is that when this movie was made, people and society were not quite like that yet, and so I'm not sure where John Waters got his ideas from - unless it was his seeing into the future perhaps? br / br /If you feel you want to see something that will make you throw up one night, then this is the film for you - just don't order any pizza, 'coz you won't be able to eat any - trust me!! br / br /I would like everyone to know that the stars I have given this movie is for some of the performances - not the picture...

Well... I've seen many John Waters films but Pink Flamingos is just too good to be true. No republicans here- just the most gross film you've probably ever seen. He doesn't take it seriously so why should you. Pure outcast fun...

sad but true
i think schools should play this in class to teach kids what it was like in the 1970's (usa)and it has everything you would want in a film including murder, love, hate, crime, and romance. This is a film i feel many will enjoy for years to come (thanx walters)

Pure Utter Filth
I watched this film once and it made me sick. Watching a hillbilly get his exposed behind's lips to dance is pure sickness. And that is just the beginning. Eating dog faeces and flashing all gets shown on this. Avoid this film. Unless you are a perv

Words cannot descibe this comic masterpiece, you'll just have to watch it for yourself.
