Mine have failed just like all of yours
I bought these scales a little over a year ago and have really liked them. But they've stopped weighing, displaying an error instead. Like everyone else, I thought it was the batteries at first.

Disappointing lifespan for the price
We liked the look of these scales, and they have been easy to use even though 2g increments is irritating when recipes are in 0 and 5g. They take larger weights than many other sets. When the display failed, with segments of numbers not showing up, we assumed it was the batteries and bought new ones, only to find they made no difference. Looking for something cheaper now. We have had them 5 years, but they were expensive and we expected a longer life than that.

failure
As with similiar reviews I was pleased with these scales.
After two years they have failed on me despite new batteries.
Incidentally amazon description says 10 years guarantee, but manufacturers Salter say 2 years

Great -- while it works
We loved these scales. Very user-friendly and they look great on the kitchen worktop. But, ours died within one and a half years. And because we could not tell whether it was the batteries or the unit, we forked an unnecessary £10 for two (indeed, not one, as stated incorrectly on the website) new batteries. We will look for a similar set of scales, but will not buy the same product again.

They look snazzy but its diffcult to clean underneath especially when flour gets under th bit between the display and platform it also dosn't weigh 5g you either get 4g or 6g!! bit annoying when your trying to follow a recipe whice needs 5g
