Do you want fine or extra fine pepper granules
After a recent visit to my cousins house, I found her electric pepper mill (make unknown) so useful that I had one put on this years Christmas list.

Santa duly obliged with a Salter Electronic mill. I have been very disappointed with it because the course grind setting produces a fine powder and it takes about 30 seconds to get any sort of portion out of the mill at all. The mill must be shaken continually whilst grinding to obtain any output. If you use the fine grind setting you may as well give up putting pepper on your food.

Works will but shoddy design
When it's working, it works well however there is a set of plastic gears inside that stripped it's teeth a day after the warrenty ran out. Cannot find a spare for this for love nor money. These gears should have been made of more durable materials. Also the body twists so that relatives who don't realise you need to push the button at the top get confused...

A Top Ten Gadget!
Fantastic!

I was bought this as a present and a bit of a joke 3 years ago, its been used pretty much every day since & is still great -how many other pepper mills can say the same -and have a built in torch!

Salter salt.....and pepper
I first saw these in a B&B. They were so much fun, my breakfast became very salty and peppery. Grinds medium to coarse. Very smart to look at too.
My family told me I didn't need electric salt and pepper grinders. They were wrong. I did.

A must have for the kitchen and dining room
Having purchased a pair, I can report that they work brilliantly as a salt mill and as a pepper mill. In fact, they have not just become an essential requirement when setting the table but also become one of our favourite gift sets.
A lovely innovation, well built, robust and often the subject of attention at dinner parties from those who have not seen them before. The internal light draws extra interest, although the light is close to useless to see what is on your plate, unless you have your meals in the dark, under most conditions the light allows easy identification of the output from the mill, so one can clearly see its correct operation.
We have found them to be practical and use them all the time. Our family is particularly fond of the one handed operation, and even the kids and Granny needed no tuition to get started, although some guests have initially tried to unscrew the top instead of pressing the button.
If you have ever tried stirring a pot of something while adding freshly ground pepper and wished you had a third hand to keep the spoon moving, these mills provide a perfect solution.
