How NOT to make a ninja film.
This film is in no way deserving of an 18 rating. The so-called 'ninjas' hardly strike me as trained assassins - they are opposed to violence and actually put their enemies to sleep with little spray bottles rather than kill anyone. There is actually a moment where a ninja is challenged to a duel by his enemy, and he responds "I do not wish to fight." As if the film wasn't already cringe making enough, we are given some slapstick comedy which comes off more like bumbling idiocy and some cheesy, over the top love scenes straight out of a final fantasy game. You would have much more fun just playing a final fantasy game (which are excellent). br / br /If you're looking for a Japanese-style ninja flick with a nice love story for your girlfriend, then check out the excellent NINJA WARS as it has enough sex and violence to satisfy male viewers too. But if, like me, you want all-out ninja craziness then check out some of the Hong Kong-made ones such as NINJA: THE FINAL DUEL, NINJA HUNTER, 5 ELEMENT NINJAS (aka CHINESE SUPER NINJA). br / br /To call this a kids' film is insulting to kids' films, 3 NINJAS KICK BACK is far more entertaining than this tripe.

awsome - don't miss
hey, don't slate this film, it's brilliant. its ment to be funny, which it is.not to be taken seriously. ando masanobu is extremely sexy (as always) the character asuka is georgous and the character aokage is very funny. its a cool light hearted film. sorry theres no running in tree tops and dancing on water but, but this film is totally great. and all you ando masanobu films must see this. if you didnt think he could get any sexier than battle royales kazuo kiriyama (though its debatable, i do admit), you be wise to watch this film,cos he's totally hot. and the action, story and scenery is all cleverly and beautifully done.with one hell of a cool end theme done by tomoyasu hotei.

Avoid at all costs!
This film is dire. It is a comic book ninja movie at it's very worst. It is silly, stupid and pointless.brThe makers couldn't even give the characters proper names. The main male characters are akakage (red shadow) and Aokage (blue shadow).brIt is pretty much a ninja version of the power rangers but with worse acting and less plot. The only people who could enjoy such purile tripe would be children but it has an 18 rating.brIf you like ninja's then watch "Azumi" but whatever you do, avoid this film!

Crud Shadow
This film has a nice box. It has all ninjas and samurai on the cover and it claims to be an 18 certificate. In reality it's about as hardcore as an episode of the Care Bears and makes about as much sense. In fact, I wish I had rented a Care Bears DVD. The only thing red after viewing this joke of a ninja movie was my face after the embrassement caused by watching it.

Bemusing but entertaining
This film was recommended to me by a friend who usually has quite good taste in films. I was told that the film was side splittingly funny, but although the humour in the film was good, it did not have me rolling around in my seat.brThe plot line of the film slowly comes together after viewing this film a couple of times, the first time i watched it I found myself becoming lost and not knowing what is going on. You really need to have the time to sit down and watch the film to understand it.pAlthough the humour side was slightly disappointing, the film itself was quite good, starring some well known japanese actors and models. It is worth buying in the long run, but if you know anyone that has it, ask them if you can watch it first before buying your own copy of it. It is not really a film for everyone. However, as already mentioned, it is not a bad film, and I do not regret buying it.
