Does the job.It does the job, but slows the computer down as well. (Especially when starting up). The parental controls take a long time to load which can be a pain when you want to visit a website!
The antivirus software seems fine. It has blocked all viruses that gave entered my inbox :)

Not very good in XPWorked perfectly under Windows ME. Post-upgrade to XP, it runs like a one-legged dog with a sore leg. Took 10 re-installs to get it working in a basic form and then still doesn't auto enable on start up (bit of a security risk). Won't be renewing my subscription when it runs out.

Overall good, although does have a few 'niggles'Overall very good, had no trouble installing. Live Update is a good feature, although I've found that the firewall does tend to have a mind of it's own at times! Anti-virus is good (as can be expected!), although I personally don't use other features such as Anti-Spam and Parental Control (if anything, they just add an extra overhead to the Live Update downloads).
In the end I switched off the firewall and am using another product.

Nightmares with Norton!Whilst downloading Norton's live updates, everything just stopped half way through. I had to shut down the PC, then after, I couldn't access any secure websites. I soon found out that Norton customer support is next to useless. Couldn't un-install Norton internet security, and it messed up my windows so that my PC would start properly. All in all, a nightmare that internet security packages are supposed to prevent, not cause. Won't be using Norton again. Rubbish.

Beware of software incompatibilityI would like to issue a warning about the potential problems, with which the package is likely to present its owner. NIS 2004 Pro version, as I sadly discovered, is not compatible with Roxio Easy CD & DVD Creator 6.0 and higher and also causes serious conflicts with Creative Audigy 2 ZS Pro drivers. After installing the NIS 2004 Pro package my new and powerful (2 x 2.8 MP Athlons + 2 GB RAM) PC run by WinXP Pro system was instantly 'killed' by the above combinations and, after spending a fruitless week with MS and Symantec Customer Support Services trying to resolve the conflicts, I finished with formatting the hard drive, reloading all the software (apart from the NIS 2004 Pro, naturally) and switched to the slightly inferior McAfee Internet Security v 6.0 package... At least my PC works perfectly well again!
