Wouldn't be without it
This was a bit of an impulse buy nearly a year ago, but probably my most successful impulse buy ever. It gets used a couple of times every week and produces fabulous results. I'll never cook a gammon in the conventional oven again! I picked this model partly because of the good price on Amazon at the time and partly because of the overwhelmingly positive reviews. It's a good size for our family of four - and for those recipes that my children wouldn't eat (they're not very adventurous!) freeze well which means that my husband and I have a yummy meal tucked away in the freezer for another day. What I particularly like about this model is the flexibility to cook on low/medium/high settings. This means that I can set it on low before I go out to work in the morning and have a meal ready for the evening; alternatively at weekends (when I'm a bit slower to get going in the kitchen!) I can set it on medium or high later in the day. The booklet that comes with the machine has a very limited range of recipes, so I would recommend buying a slow cooker recipe book to go with it. If mine ever broke I'd replace it straight away with the same model.

Misleading capacity
The description of this item is a bit misleading as it says the capacity is 3.5 litres. However, on the box iteself, it says "Full to brim capacity 3.5 ltrs - operating capacity 2.5 ltrs." This is a small slow cooker and not big enough for family sized meals or batch cooking.

Life saver ! this is amazing every home should have one
i was slow to get one of these (more fool me) this is a top bit of kit and i cant live without it ! throw in the veg and meet do the house work look after my 1year old son by the time i turn round its dinner time and its ready to serve! plus what we dont eat makes exellent baby food to help get Alexander onto grown up food - and its nutritious too best of all when your done just pop it in the dishwasher and relax ! dont think just get one and give it a try !

Too Slow
This product was unable to fully cook the ingredients of a meal, even after many hours on the high setting. Perhaps it was just this particular unit that was defective, but I will search around for a different model. The Amazon.com returns policy, however, is user friendly and they have provided a full refund.

Excellent product!
I didn't know a thing about slow cookers other than they were great for creating good healthy homemade food which could be prepared and all ready after a day at work. This product seems perfect! I am certainly no cook, but I can cut vegetables which is a good starting point. The recipe booklet at the back of the instructions is easy to follow and understand to a novice like myself. The first dish that I made was the chilli con carne from the accompanying booklet. I didn't think it would turn out any good to be honest as I have little confidence in the kitchen. However, I was pleasanty surprised at how easy the product was to use, and amazed myself with the end result - a very tasty edible chilli con carne! I feel sure that I will be using this a lot, especially as it is so easy to clean afterwards. Really pleased with my purchase and the speed in which it arrived. Am now feeling confident in the kitchen with this little number! : )
