Gackt at his best!I love Gackt. In my opinion he has one of the finest voices in rock/pop and it matters not one dot to me that he sings in Japanese (I only speak and understand english). He could sing a rendition of "My old mans a dustman" and make it sound fantastic and beautiful...his voice is really that special. This album is my favourite from Gackt (although the album "Mars" is a pretty close second due to its eclectic mix of genius compositions).
br /Crescent is exceptional as it showcases Gackts vocal talents to the full and is a heady intoxicating mixture of ballads and rock tunes that simply carry you away to a far off place. Brilliant!
br /Cannot recommend highly enough....

Another Great Album From GacktCrescent is most definetely my favorite out of all of Gackt's albums. Unlike Gackt's previous albums, Crescent begins with a non-instrumental track: Dybbuk. A rather different song, I didn't like it at first but it's grown on me. The rest of the tracks were instant hints with me, especially Mind Forest, Lust for Blood, and Last Song. His duet with Hyde, Orenji no Taiyou, is also a great track.pWith original style and stunning tracks, I definetely recommend this album to new and old Gackt fans alike.

Good stuff from a great japanese idolGackt's 4th album (Mars, ReBirth, Moon)Cresent is part of the Air Moon set which includes the Moon album, the Moon Child movie and this album. It marks the end of the two year long project, featuring songs which closely relate to ideas represented in the Moon Child movie. Although the film adresses MANY themes, confusingly mingled together sometimes, the album sticks to mainly the fact that Hyde of L'arc en Ciel's character is a vampire, one of Gackts favourite song themes throughout his albums, aswell as the themes of love, loss and suicide. Lyrically this is quite a dark album, most songs featuring a reference to suicide, and is well written, although i don't think that this is Gackts best album by far. The album features mainly ballads like Tsuki no Uta, Hoshi no Souna, Solitary(all guitar and/or piano based songs), along with a few soft rock songs like Lust For Blood, Dream That You Chased, etc. Stand out tracks on this album for me would be Dybbuk (the 'rap' song),Bird Cage(Gackt's mini opera) and Mind Forest(pan pipes), three typically Gackt songs-strange, experimental and wonderful. If you like love songs this is probably the Gackt album for you, however i wouldn't recommend this album over any of his other albums. He has done MUCH better than this,my favourite album being ReBirth although many people would probably argue his best album was Mars. Tracklisting- Dybbuk, Mind Forest, Tsuki no Uta (Moon Song),Kimi ga Mattieru Kara, Solitary, Hoshi no Souna, Lust For Blood, White Eyes, Dream that You Chased, Last Song, Orenji no Taiyou(duet with Hyde of L'arc en ciel)
