Unlike many others, it has an audio commentary over the workout as opposed to the presenter talking to you while doing the workout themselves. It is so clear and thorough that it is unbelievable. You always know how to breath and it constantly reminds you of your posture etc. Such a difference to my previous experience where you do your workout and then they mention something and you think: oh haven't done that for the last 4 minutes. The ball makes a big difference as it is both challenging and fun. I will combine it with my other workouts but so glad I bought this!
I found this workout very enjoyable and relaxing. It's easy to follow and apart from the fact that you need quite a bit of space I can't fault it. It's only one workout so you might get bored once you've done it a few times but it's still a great buy.
Good workout DVD but not for those used to doing pilates. Very basic with some good moves. Not a very challenging workout, but great for beginners.
If you haven't used the gym ball before you will find this DVD is a good introduction. More advanced users may find that it isn't very challenging. The instructor constantly saying well done also sounds a little patronising but over all it's quite a good workout.
This DVD avoids many of what I have found to be the common pitfalls of exercise DVDs - the presenter doesn't chatter endlessly in a way that becomes annoying when you have used the DVD a few times. The advice on technique etc. is given in an introduction that you only need to watch once. The instructions on coordinating movement, breathing and abdominal tension are clear and helpful throughout. I have found the programme relaxing and enjoyable, and after only a few weeks of regular use I have noticed a real difference in muscle tone.
