Like the Beatles and Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson is one of the handful of artists that can release an album of their number one singles. INumber Ones/I includes his solo chart toppers in the UK and abroad from the period beginning with his IOff the Wall/I album right up to the new song "One More Chance", a collaboration with R Kelly. The remaining 17 songs on the album are all classics drawn from the disco-soul IOff the Wall/I, the funky IThriller/I, the good IBad/I, the safe IDangerous/I, the semi-best-of IHistory/I and the weak IInvincible/I. Regardless of whether the bulk of INumber Ones/I has appeared on other greatest hits albums, this is still an incredible selection of Michael Jackson's best music. --IGeorgina Collins/I

No Man In The Mirror????!!!!
How can any Greatest Hits not contain Man In The Mirror, but a load of old tosh (One More Chance, Break of Dawn, Blood on the Dance Floor) that no one's ever heard of and I very much doubt ever even got in the charts, let alone "Number One"! Oh, I know why, it makes people go out and buy the original albums as well and makes die hard fans buy this to complete their collection with a couple of ropey new tracks. br / br /Do yourself a favour and just download the best tracks of the original albums in their original uncut versions and make your own proper compilation.

A Celebration...
Now that he's gone, this is a good retrospective to listen to. It covers the range and enthusiasm of Michael Jackson's music. He was a one-off and a very talented individual. He will be remembered for his music above anything else - if there's anyone alive on the planet that doesn't at least tap their foot to 'Billie Jean', they're either deaf or dead. As an exuberant youngster, he made the Jackson 5 special and his solo career is unsurpassed in record sales (750 million albums at the last count). Was he influential? Oh yes, with disco, with music videos, with funk rock (I'm sure Prince owes him a nod or two), and with dance. He mainstreamed black music for white audiences along with Stevie Wonder. He made some great music and this disc contains many of the highlights - recommended.

Michael Jackson is such a good song writer and this album just gets you in a good mood even if you are on a downer!!

Premium quality pop music
This greatest hits compilation represents a benchmark in premium quality popular music in the CD format, whichever way you prefer to view it. The sound is superb audiophile quality. Don't hesitate - just buy it and enjoy!

Listen up! This album is brilliant!
I'm actually listening to this album as I write my review to get some inspiration! MJ's on the music industry cannot be acknowledged as anything else but massive! He's been in the public eye since the 1960's so there's no doubting his brilliance. His private life is another subject alltogether but, that aside, the man is a pop genius who has a huge influence in a variety of musical styles. I'm not a huge MJ fan but I am able to see the mastery of his songs and the impact they have had on his fans. "Number ones" is an 18 track compilation of his greatest hits and I quite agree with the album title...they are number ones - each song in it's own way has been brilliant! Overall, I love listening to this album because it's amazing how these songs still seem fresh and relevent many years after they were recorded. If a song can do that it's a number one any day of the week. I can only hope MJ can get his life back together and hopefully thrill the world again with another number one album! br / br /There's no doubting MJs musical genius, he broke barriers and he will be back because he is Michael Jackson.
